Most of the CAs barking in the comments don’t realise that 80% of all work in this field in India today are US outsourced work. A CPA is an US CA and in these jobs they get better or equivalent recognition. These jobs command better salaries than India jobs. Also CPAs have better recognition abroad. people making fun of this guy and CPA as a whole should check the demand for CPAs in big4s and other PA companies. you all are salty because CPA is easier to pass than CA yet they get the same salary plus global recognition. You guys can check the value of CPA in global accounting forums. and mind you CPA is also a tough exam, it is definitely not a cake walk. the concepts should be crystal clear, its not your typical indian exam where you practice x types of sums in a particular topics for example cash flow and youre good to go. anyone thinking its easy should try revenue recognition from FAR. For everyone laughing at him, I’m gonna start my audit job at Deloitte USI which I got through placement and trust me they’re literally gonna spend on you for exams and study material so that you study CPA. But for walk-in interviews they need CA or CPA which they see as the same value of and trust me the entry level package is between 9-11 LPA if they have it. CPA is valued to this stake if you work in MNC’s or Big 4 or else it’s not so much valued in Indian companies

@@jo-pf5is ACCA has 3 levels, Multiple papers however it does not require Bachelor's and Masters. CPA needs a Master's for Licensing even though you'll be able to write the exams with a Bachelor's degree. It has only 4 exams which can be taken at any point in time and in any order.

The pass percentage of CPA is just because most aspirants are professionals. Also CA 8 papers 2400 inr. Many of the aspirants write CA exams without preparation. But CPA each paper more than 50,000inr. So who'll waste that hectic amount. Also you need Masters for CPA exam eligiblity

It's not entirely about the money too. CA is difficult mainly because of their complicated groupwise scheme. 40%in each subject and 50% in each group. Also couple that with the inconsistent correction by the institute and general ego they have.

CPA in the US is like CA in India. Only the CPA can sign the audit and attestation in US. I am working on my CPA license right now. I am from the US. To get the CPA license you need 150 credit hours which is 6 years of education in the US (Bachelor's 4 years + Master's 2 Years) 1 to 2 years of experience and passing four CPA exams and 1 ethics exam and to keep the license the CPA must take 80+ credits (CPE) every three years. The starting salary in the US is around $75,000/year.

I would say you got everything right except the 6 year part. 150 credits is only 5 years not 6 years and you don't need a masters degree. I have a 4 year bachelor's degree and then took a year of electives at a community College. It's cheaper this way but your probably more prepared then I am so im not hating im just saying. Idk why people in the comment section are so bitter about. Most of them derive their entire self worth out of their CA degree so they feel salty that another degree which is easier than CA is paying so much. I left CA after clearing IPCC which I was still in 3rd year of Xavier’s. Got placed with deloitte USI and got fully sponsored CPA and now at the age of 25 I am a Senior/assistant manager and make 22lpa, got bonus of 1.5 lpa for clearing CPA and also a 20% hike for clearing CPA. I am currently selected for going to US on-site program through L1 visa so all the people criticising are just plain stupid. I chose this path and this life has been fairly good compared to my CA friends working in Indian practice. Most people in my firm have left Indian practice and joined here because of the perks and benefit and better work- life balance.

My team Leader is a qualified US CPA with an experience of about 5 years and earning around 2L per month. This is because USA is outsourcing the business in India because of Cheap Labour. The best will survive and though the working hours after clearing such examinations and working in reputed MNC and KPOs in around 8-9 hours per day, sometimes, not everytime, particularly at the time of annual closing becomes hectic as there is a lot of pressure. Also let me tell you since even you are a Shukla (Mein Tripathi hu 🚩), at closing, both monthly and yearly you may have to sit around 10-11 hours depending upon your company inorder to meet the deadlines. However I enjoy meeting deadlines since it's thriving in nature. People with utmost dedication and professional love to work under pressure ❤️

If you wanna know more deep you can search about the crisis of qualified CPAs and ACCAs in Europe and USA, small and mid scale companies are now outsourcing Accounting and taxation to India and there is now way more opportunities to work for them and earn a handsome amount. I myself, CA final group 1. I left CA because of economic pressure and because I was about to be 24, completed EA within an year and got placed in One of the KPO in Noida with a decent salary that most of the CAs and CMAs make. Let's be honest most of the CAs get hired on the price bracket of 50-70k as fresher

CPA is of no value to the indian firms but when it comes to the US practice it is valued more than a CA. Most CA's are getting themselves into USI practice and in such scenario CPA and CA are equivalent and sometimes when it comes to settling in the US, CPA's are preffered in the US accounting scenario. On the other hand indian CA's are not just in accounting but also in the consulting field and finance management in india. Both the qualifications have their own perks but in different geolocations and industries.

@@daviddegea3373 Don't try to be Sigma because you are not.There are 20 papers in CA CMA India with rigorous training of 36/15 months respectively with 10 % passing percentage and you are comparing it with 4 papers with 60% passing percentage. Don't be cool here in the comment, and put some facts.

Big 4 has a shortage of CPA's that's why they sponsor CPA trainings, even for CAs. CPA requires Bcom to write the exam and MCOM to get liscenced. So the subjects total is covered there too. Big 4s have starting package of 9lpa for a CPA and that's the actual going rate. it's 50 percent passing rate and it's across countries. Both CA and CPA can practive in many countries because of the MOU signed, But many countries like Canada and Australia donot need any further examinations for CPA pass out to clear there. I know you are insecure to admit that your institute is unfair in the way that groupwise and subjectwise requirements exists, that is not practical at all. It goes for rote and monotonous learning. So you definetely are not getting any cool points for trying to delegitimise an actual, equal and credible alternative for CA. Learn the practical implementation aspects of it rather than what it took to clear the paper. Ask more accountability from ICAI instead of Bringing another Degree down.
