Ngl, when you were on the higher force feedbacks 60+, the angles you were holding were crazy lmaoo

Regardless of feedback could have those angles with any settings its 10 or 100, just takes a minute to get used to it and all this was filmed in 10minutes to be exact

Interesting video, I get your point and philosophy but for grip driving Dan Suzuki recommends setting wheel to 100% power in wheel software and tune your FFB in each game. I tend to agree with this. Asetto Corsa even lets you set peak Nm in the FFB Tweaks section in Content Manager.

Please try this test using VDC cars, I plan on upgrading my wheel but I dont know how much torque I need for VDC or online "Pro" level cars. Also thanks for making this video this is literally what ive been searching for online, the timing you posted this is godsend.

The higher NM wheels make more sense if you race instead of drifitng iirc. I think I heard the 15nm is getting close to an F1 Car, so if you drive that it should make sense
@theniceguy777
@theniceguy777 8 ай бұрын
I mentioned this was for drifting, and these cars. Still I think even for f1 15nm would be too much. If it was peak and only peak 15nm or around that might make sense
@joxay
@joxay 8 ай бұрын
@theniceguy777 well with the way the force feedback systems work they usually do only peak at the high torgue moments (so turns for example) instead of applying the pressure all the time. Quick Google search has people mentioning formula cars going up to pretty high numbers (75NM) and stuff like GT3 ending up pretty close towards 15NM. I guess it depends on what you are using it for, really only makes sense if you are either striving for the most realistic experience possible or maybe training for a real car, which is also striving for realism. Or people just have too much money and like options
@theniceguy777
@theniceguy777 8 ай бұрын
@@joxay Can only speculate those numbers. Problem is the feedback does not usually work the way you described where high torque would be only during heavy cornering. If you set it at 15nm or so its super heavy to turn even at low speeds. You have to consider steering wheel sizes too that I briefly talked about in this vid where 5nm on bigger wheel will feel like 10nm on small one as you have less leverage. Everything comes to the actual f1 driver too as he can adjust those nm to his liking. Lets forget about F1 cars as the information is very limited and unreliable, take simply everyday cars which by standard have 4-5nm peak and people still using 15nm for them with these wheels…

hey thats a great research you did. may i ask something. lets use your wheel (15NM) at 100% as the basic. i never drive a car before so sorry. i consider to buy this to learn how to drive. you said 30% is low, but 40% is to heavy. so what is the closest NM to a real car steer for you? sorry for bad english

I am looking to buy the R9 moza base which is 9 nm of torque, but people say I should get the R5 which is 5 nm of torque. Idk wich one to get but the R5 would save me money, what do you think I should get r5 or r9 moza base

@@theniceguy777 okay, and the racing wheel I have now doesn’t even have force feedback so it would be a big upgrade still, and it will save me money. And I have a feeling if I put the r9 on max torque it would rip my arm off

I've been looking for a long time to buy a steering wheel. The only thing I don't want is hearing the audio on TrueForce. Well, I'll probably have to get Trustmaster or Fanatec. What do you suggest ? I am Greek and it will take a while for him to come to Greece. 5-10 days for example. 🇬🇷😎

Thx! This video makes me double down on my plans to save up for and purchase the entry level fanatec offering: 5-8NM should be reasonable and all i ever need considering what i am aiming to do with the rig (will take a while til i got the money together but whatever, it will be worth it). Then again: Can i trust a person with a shifter tattoo like that? Bro, you either got an almost unhealthy amount of humor or your tattoo artist been completely drunk - maybe even both ^^]
