If he pays it for 84 months it would be retarded I agree, but pay it consistently for 1 year pay $600 or $700 each month instead of the $500 and make big payments. You pay it off quick with those big payments and it’s a good strategy depending on his APR.

Make sure the liability limits are high enough so that you don't end up having to pay out of pocket in the event of an accident. There's a reason it's way cheaper, and it's most likely shitty coverage. I do insurance for a living.

Not sure how much you know about these motors but 850whp on stock internals is a ticking time bomb. 750-800 is really max if you want it to survive. The internal on these cars aren’t forged and the rods will give before anything. Better keep those rpms down unless you want to throw a rod. Awesome car though! Love my Shelby as well!

I would install a return style fuel system next. If your BAP or pump fails, and you run out of fuel. It will be bad. Oh and a vmp heat exchanger

When I was looking for my gt350 I was about to buy one with 8000 miles for 48,000 but then I saw one with 460 miles for 54,000 . it was more than I wanted to spend ,, but,, with the mileage, it was SO WORTH IT. To get 1,000WHP out of your Shelby, you’ll need to sleeve the block professionally. People from MPR and L&M cam sleeve your block professionally. Another thing you’ll have to ditch is the stock Trinity 2.3L TVS. A VMP 2.65 will work wonders but so will a higher displacement Whipple/KB. Please invest a lot of time into research. If you’ll be rebuilding the bottom end, do your research on what crank, rods, pistons, main bearings, etc. will work for your application. I’m sure you can find a sweet setup in no time if you take the time to do the research.

@Nate best thing you can do finance wise - make sure your loan has no early payoff penalty... keep your payments low, and then drop chunks of principal only payments as you have the funds to do so. banks make their money on the interest, so the less you can give them in interest longterm, the better

I pay 300 for my 3v but it is completely insured with all the mods so they based my value off the Vin number of my car and it is number 55 of the sn197 body style it to a collector is worth alot even though I have modified the living hell out of her and according to the Vin number she is also a roush stage 3 but is just a base model gt

Think you should refinance as soon as possible because 84 months is probably a HUGE amount of interest (I’m assuming). It will make your payments go up, however rather than paying $50k after interest you’ll only pay $45k (etc etc). Just a tip from someone in the car sales business!

Great car. Have you tried priming the fuel pump by cycling the fuel system. Just turn the key to on twice and let it go through it’s systems check before turning all they way to start. 🤷🏾♂️

Hey to Re-fi make 3 payments then look into what your bank or local credit union can do. Usually CU are good for younger people. 84 /mos is longer, go for 72/75 mo.
