Sorry about the weird humming noise when driving, not sure what that was.. didn't hear it whilst filming.
@t5jerry4 жыл бұрын
It's either the diff, gearbox or wheel bearing
@SavingSalvage4 жыл бұрын
weird thing is.. it didn't make any noises while driving. It could be the tyres, they were a cheap make (even though they were £70 each)
@alexdalgleish10614 жыл бұрын
@@SavingSalvage Oh oh. Is it permanent AWD?! If so need 4 equal tread quality tyres or diff could go (common on Landrover).
@bobb63424 жыл бұрын
Could it just be the vibration coming through the mounting kit for your camera
@SavingSalvage4 жыл бұрын
its not permanent, haldex coupling

Good work. I enjoy the genuine and straightforward approach that you have. I’ve got a 3.2 TT project car that has a lumpy idle, I’m guessing it’s an engine out job so your tip on turning 90:degrees may come in use! One thing on the Mustang. A friend of mine had a 2017 5.0 V8 from new, unfortunately it suffered an electrical fire and was completely gutted. Ford did a recall on some early models, but his one was meant to have it from factory. It might be worth doing some research to understand what causes it and see if you could fabricate a fix (it’s something to do with the earthing and the manifold). Anyway, great content as always.

My experience with VAG cars is that you have to spend a fortune to keep it on the road. I own a Honda and it costs nothing and never needs any parts just normal maintenance. My A4 used to cost £500 a year in parts. Similarly friends and family have same issue with their Audis and VW.

Hey, i have a 2006 a4 with the 3.2 v6 and it also had a lumpy idle and about half the power. it's giving me the 08854 fuel pressure fault code but i changed every part that has anything to do with the fuel pressure. could it actually be a timing chain issue?

Hi mate, quick question re the timing chain, we are about to buy a very tidy one for a grand, it has correlation fault P0118 so we need to do the chain. Did you take engine out as per Autodata and 14.9 hours or did you drop the subframe and box etc and get to it from the side? Cheers for any info buddy.
