Your Q&A video was terrific. I always like watching your travel videos because the quality is so professional. A good travel video captures the different cultures as well as the uniqueness of the country’s landscape. But most of all the video must be very professional, which your videos are!

You two are so sweet together! I enjoyed your question and answer video. One question that wasn’t answered that I’m curious about is did ever feel nervous about living/traveling in the van during the Covid-19 pandemic? And are you ever nervous about traveling abroad now while the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing?

Just had the pleasure to watch you for the first time today and see the journey you've made from van life to international travel in a carry on. Amazing how well you are able to save and spend it on the right things. I haven't even seen all the countries you've been to but just the little snippets here of how you were pushed out of your comfort zone made me realise just HOW MUCH you've done already :O insane! This will definitely be a thing of a lifetime for you :3 I got to your channel through your "carry on travel" video. Seeing it after our 2 week holiday in Japan backpacking it reminded of our fun times. It was really refreshing to spend so much time together with my partner :3 you must have loads of fun!

Thank you for sharing. I really look forward to your videos. Can relate to the "being raised frugally" and I also saved all of my birthday and grduation money to buy a house or land.
@wshazbot622 жыл бұрын
I usually don’t watch Q&A vlogs, I do like learning about how you afford to travel and buy a house. I know the prices of houses etc in TN is about half what it costs here in California, my brother lives in TN as well. I love the prices in TN, but my kids and now granddaughter live here. So I’m not moving anytime soon, at least not out of California. I think it’s great how you get to go home base once in a while, I’m sure the comfort of home is relaxing. Even with your house under construction, it’s nice just to be close to family. Anyway, thanks for answering so many good questions about how you do what you do. So keep on trucking, I look forward to your travels. If you do ever decide to start a family, be sure your ready to not be able to travel as much. As my daughter learned, you can’t just jump up and say let’s go here or there etc anymore at least not for a while. Kids turn your lives upside down, I never thought I’d have kids. Much less 3 kids, you just never know. Lol. Stay safe, have fun . Most of all, thank you for sharing your experiences 😊🌺
@ChadandClaire2 жыл бұрын
We know having kids will drastically change our lives, so when the time comes we’ll make sure we’re ready for it. Tennessee certainly is cheaper than California, but California is such a wonderful place as well. Glad you enjoyed this Q & A and looking forward to updating you on the house.

My hubby laughs that I'm a little bohemian lol Another year of work and we can really hit the road. Our August trip is for 2 months. Greece, Croatia and Turkey. You talked about budget. This trip started with a budget and has turned into what budget. Lol Happy, safe travels to you both.

I'll be out close to a month.

I’m new to your channel but I’m hooked and loving it. I agree about Asians being wired by parents to live frugally. That’s how I grew up. My American husband was not but I have pulled him into it. We’ve been blessed with wonderful careers that we now are able to spend some perks like traveling well and eating at expensive restos. But for our retirement, van life doesn’t sound bad at all.

I have 4 kids with #5 on the way. In some ways, you can continue your life if you want to, kids or no kids. You can homeschool. But at the same time, there is the realism of it. You'll go a lot slower, plane tickets cost way more, you have more luggage, your kids will be antsy when you're trying to look at boring things. It is harder. We almost never travel though, not because of our kids. There's a youtube channel called Worldschool or something who travels a ton with like 7 kids or something.

Success if defined by your happiness and not your net worth (as in $$). Why? Because that is what everyone is eventually seeking in life. So, by that definition you are both multi-millionaires. It takes plenty of courage (and unbelievable ego suppression) to openly declare your income when it is considered very modest (euphemism) by 'American standards'. The very fact that you guys have no problems sharing your 'faults' and perceived shortcomings (in this and earlier videos), I think you are both ideal role models on how others can successfully pursue happiness and lead a fulfilling life - no matter their circumstances. BTW, about that money thing - I think you guys will make a lot of that too in the not-so-distant future because you are so detached from it. And I am sure you will help a lot more people when that time comes as well. Stay blessed!
@ChadandClaire2 жыл бұрын
Wow. What a kind comment and thank you! We try hard to not make money the focus of our lives and treat it more as a tool that can help us achieve our personal goals. We really do believe happiness is a choice, especially when we have health and family that loves us on our sides. Overall we are just so grateful to be doing what we're doing. Thanks for leaving your comment. It made our night!
