This VBLOG was great. We learned so much about packing for an overseas trip. If I may, I would like to make a suggestion and, that is, a compression sack might save space. One can pack a lot of clothing in a compression sack and then put it in the bottom of a back pack. Your ideas for items to take on a overseas trip was very professional!

It’s hard to believe how u guys fit all those stuff in a carryon, but u did. Amazing!! I just came back from a 11 days trip to Dubai, I have 1 checked in and 1 carryon. I always over packed😩😩. I need to learn from u guys how pack only the essentials. Thanks for sharing 😊

Feels like the older I get the more I pack. Anker really makes great product. Two that has been a life saver for me: 1. A long charging cord for your phone, perfect to bring on your travels when you many time don't have a outlet near your bed, but no worries with a long cable. Sadly nice red one finally broke after many being with me on many trips. 2. A tiny Anker charger, same size as those older iphone chargers but with the benefit of it being so powerful it can charge my laptop or my phone. Comparing to the normal laptop charger it's 1/3 the size and I only need one charger instead of two. One benefit with the old apple charger though is that with that you can switch out the plug so it works all over the world with different adapters, this I cannot to with the Anker. Many world adapters are really bulky, usually I only bring smaller adapters that only work for one country, but I'm on the lookout for any great (smallish) world adapters.

All this looks way over the 7kg that most carriers allow for both bags. I know a lot of the cheaper carriers in Asia like Air Asia, Jetstar etc weigh your carry ons. For example your back pack and roller bag have to be under 7kg. Where we live for some locations they are the only carriers we can use which is a pain.

I was thinking that also. We always fly the low cost carriers here in Australia and New Zealand and they only allow a 7kg combined weight of ALL bags and I’ve always been made to weigh them at check in. We are going Aust- Bali for 3 weeks next week it’s also a 7kg weight limit, we will have full pockets and just the bare necessities 😂

@@carolinelane9599 better the rain in Bali then the rain in Perth - what was that storm like the other night?! But I hear what you’re saying, it is much nicer when the sun shines there. If it does rain, we take the opportunity to get our massage or more food, silver linings and all haha. We were there in May and it was just starting to get busy again so I’m hoping that it’s back to business as usual for them. Have a great trip!!!!

I wonder how much your carry on luggage weigh (suitcase + any purse/back pack). Packing according to different weight limits would be super helpful (7kg, 10kg, 14kg are common with some having added cost)

This is a really good point! Perhaps I will weigh them on our next trip! They might be higher than the weight limit, but we have never been asked to weigh our bags yet. Great advice for other travelers to look out for.
