Here’s the breakdown of cigarette nicotine content.
The average cigarette contains around 12 milligrams of nicotine.
However, the mg of nicotine in cigarettes can range from 8 milligrams all the way up to more than 24 milligrams, depending on the strength.
When you inhale the smoke and nicotine in cigarettes, you aren’t absorbing all of the nicotine present in the smoke.
You’re only getting a small fraction of the nicotine in the cigarette.
How much nicotine?
It is safe to estimate that you’re consuming around one milligram of nicotine per cigarette.
This number varies depending on the person smoking and the type of cigarette. Every person inhales differently, and this can result in the body absorbing different amounts of nicotine.
If you’re smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, that comes out to around 20 milligrams of nicotine per day.
The exact answer depends on the strength of cigarettes and how you smoke. On average it’s best to assume that nicotine ingestion from one cigarette is around 1 milligram.
Although this is a good estimate, note it’s not an exact science. Use this as an estimation to figure out how much nicotine you personally consume.

this is random but maybe some people with see it. 100% truth. Ex Cigarette Smoker, a Pack a day.up too 2 Packs on bad or party days. I started vaping about 5 years ago. Damn that kinda just hit me, it's been 5 years. Soo when I first quit smoking, it was because my lungs were hurting too much compared to how much I enjoyed it(only when I over did it 2 packs). I started off on those little e cig sticks, barely any vape but we started high on the nicotine at 24mg. Eventually better Mods started coming out, I went less and less 18 then 12 then 6 & 3. Now I'm a addict for nicotine, some days I live for it. So when I got down to 3. I was vaping 60ml 3 mg nicotine about in 3 days and these were in those prebuilt crappy tanks that barely give you any vape, but then I finally hit my drip top and different flavors and I was even more hooked. Started finishing those bottles in 2-3 days. As time went on some weeks I would do alrite, started buying 100ml/3mg could make it last a week. Then recently I got back on the 6 nicotine, trying to vape less actually and man was it hard and I've been failing. I still am vaping as much just the double nicotine and I am feeling it, not just the nicotine. I definitely feel like just doubling and continuing to vape as much has made a big impact on i'm feeling but a lot of these problems started on the 3, just much worse. My Chest is tight. Lungs are starting to feel heavy. My eyes will twitch(random) but it's only when i'm on that 6 which I have read happens. When I wake up my lungs are sore. Feels like I just had Arm/Chest Day working out without the benefits. Anyways, This is my story. It's 6 in the morning I felt like sharing. And I'm also a ex smoker so these could be problems that are linked, I'm not bashing on vaping, I did find it a much healthier way then cigarettes, please don't get it mixed. I over did the vaping but it was sooo much better than cigarettes. When my lungs were OK, no pains. Random but when I did run out of juice, I'd have a cigarette or 2 and my lungs would hurt for a week just from that. It's hard A.F to quit this. I'm starting to get those feelings like I did when i quit smoking so I'm going to try and wing my self off. Lower my Nicotine back to a 3, and also get a 0. Gonna vape on the 0 and get my 3 fix when needed. Then when I feel like I'm about ready i'm going to buy a shitty flavor juice on a 0 and leave my self with that. Found if I have the juice but I don't like it the flavor, I just won't vape. so I'm hoping that's gonna be enough to finally stop my smoking/vaping train. Smoked since I was 15, Now i'm 28. Wish me Luck. Hope this helps someone finds their answers just inspires someone else to maybe quit or work on it. In the end, even now as I'm vaping I wish I could take it all back.

It is a good one off product for kissing goodbye to your smoking habit without the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my work colleague after many years got great success with it.

If you finish the whole juice with 3mg nic does it means you only consumed 1.5 mg? Or every puff you inhale is 1.5 mg of nic?

When you buy 3mg juice it means it has 3mg per ml. So if you by a 100ml bottle at 3mg strength that means that bottle has a total of 300mg of nicotine in it. If you vape the entire bottle you will have vaped 300mg of nicotine and absorbed about half or 150mg of nicotine. Say the bottle last you a week. So 150mg divided by 7 days is about 21.4mg a day. Or just about as much as a pack of cigs a day. I vape about 100mls a week and I always cut my juice with VG to make it last longer so my juice ends up being just under 2mg strength. I figured I absorb about 12mg of nicotine a day.

@@cafeamrcan Yep. The math is correct. If you're buying juice with really high nic levels in it, like 20mg, 40mg or 60mg. Those are nic salts which are super high and meant for those little Vapes that you just use as one hitters here and there. Nic salts aren't meant for vaping all day.

I smoke 20+ cigarette a day. i switched to MTL recently. I mix my own e liquid. the ratio i mix is 18mg nic per ml. i vape around 10 ML a day. does that mean that i am smoking around 10 packs of cigarette a day?

smoking a cigarette will harm like carbon monoxide in it, tar carcinogens and so forth, in a e_ l iquid it's VG pG flavourings additives etc I have felt huge difference after quitting smoke then started vape definitly help s. But is nicotine alone a harmful? post a video of its merits and demerits.

Acording to that video: You vape 1ml 25/mg/ml a day = 25mg total nicotin a day -> You absorb half of it = 12.5mg a day -> 12.5 avarege cigars a day
