How much RAM does Mastercam really need?

the issue with the 64gb kit was the 4 sticks, a two stick kit would perform fine with xmp. its a known issue with some of the newer processors

I would consider this an older chip, I am using DDR4 not DDR5. Either way, ya, maybe 2x32 could be stable with XMP but I think the point rings true still. If you don't need more RAM, its at best a waste of money, at worst its bringing your performance down. If I can find a screaming deal on 2x32, maybe I'll test it out one day.

Doing research on sys-builds for the company I work atm. This was helpful thank you for making the testbench. I hope I find RAM Speed and other factors on your channel as well. Where did you get the "demo file from Mastercam that is an F1 wheel machined on a Mill Turn machine"? I tried searching for it on official site but no luck. It would be a nice performance measuring tool. Before we make our own.

It installs the same as if you were on W10. If you are looking for the HLE version, head to Mastercams website to download. You'll register for a license which is free. Its all fairly straight forward.
