I wish our jews would not have made aliya en masse to Israel after 1990s although they did very well its their ancient homeland. But if there were more jews in Albania as it were after WW2 and 1990s I would have gone to the local community rabbi and Bet Din and definitely I would have converted to judaism. We had a jewish community here, and not far away from the place you recorded this video (this is Muradiya road) is the Road of the jews as we call it to this day. As for muslims and Islam, most Albanians especially "muslims" and even christians, unlike most muslims do not care about Islam or religion too much. It is interesting though our communist government was against Israel on the grounds of Israel being a military base of US imperialism in the Middle East. (I honestly have to admit this is the case, because i know the US establishments treats its "allies" like puppet vassal states), still the jews of Albania were not damaged almost at all in fact my parents had many jewish friends. From my research most albanian jews were sephardic jews who came from either Spain after the Reconquista, in ottoman ruled Albania or Greece after the First Balkan war, when the jews of Thessaloniki (a major city of sephardic jews) were brutally expelled when the Greeks took control of the city from the Ottomans. Of course we had more jews after WW2 than before WW1, because my grandparents would rather die than sell our jewish brother and sisters to the sisters. In fact when fascist italy capitulated in 1943 many italian soldiers also hid amongst albanians to protect themselves from the germans. There were significant jewish communities in Albania till 1990s when the communist system fell and most albanian jews made Aliya to Israel. I am sorry they went away en masse but many of them return here always because they miss their birth place and many have invested here. Even Mr. Jared Kushner recently, the son in law of President Trump, is planning to invest in the island of Sazan, which is in the bey of Vlora. I wish there were more jews in Albania, I miss their presence. If the jewish community would have still remained here or even in Tirana with a significant number and had their rabbis and bet dins, I would have converted to judaism myself, I have many reasons for that, I would have gone to the local rav or bet din to convert me as many years as it takes. The Torah is the eternal book. I have mixed christian and muslim ancestry, and maybe who knows jewish one but regardless, neither the Qur'an nor the New Testament, if they have any legitimacy as divine books it is because they build the foundations on the Torah, but unfortunately, christianity has this replacement theology and avodah zarah and Islam has built a de facto theology of rejecting all Torah and Tanakh (Tawrah and Zabur) on fictitious interpretations of the Qur'an that they are corrupt, when I have seen the very opposite and not to quote a hadith from Prophet Muhammad himself saying I believe in the Torah and the One who revealed it, and it was a torah scroll the Jews of Madinah had (some ridiculous claims that it was a special Torah like the one of Moses, when every jew all around Arabia, even yemenite jews who left the land of Israel after the 1st temple had the same Torah and Tanakh everywhere). The Torah is the real deal. I wish my people would not have converted to Islam because most were very superficial converts and kept Christianity as most did in Balkans, or better off, if we converted to judaism like the Khuzarim did. I saw a video the zionist movement actually even considered making Israel in Albania. Now it is not muslims, or Islam, no no. It is the Albanians. They are secular but recognize the G-d of these different religion is the same G-d. Religious muslims post communism in Albania are no friends of jews or Israel. But do not worry. Similar to Azerbaijan, they too are nominally muslims, but majority secular and post soviet too. And very good with jews generally. Maybe a reason why despite our people not being religious or even care for G-d too much, being blessed, is because we did not sell out our jewish brothers and sisters. Neither in that communist atheist regime which was against Israel, jews were generally fine. I have my own elders' experience who lived with jews, especially in Vlore, where you are filming where there was an entire sephardic jewish community (I know from research i am not sure maybe there have been ashkenazis in other parts of Albania). Currently there are very few jews in Albania and the Chief rabbi is a humble man from Chabad. Had our jews not left en masse in Aliyah (they did well to go to their own G-d given homeland) I would have been maybe a converted jew now. I am proud we did this and we will do it again. When the juries in Eurovision gave almost all zero points to israel most public votes were 12 points and many 10 points. i voted for Israel myself. P.S. As for muslims, I know some muslims love jews and that is true but majority no. And as to inform you I used to be a rabid pro palestinian supporter. Until I suddenly in a miraculous way had a shift of heart and start to read the Torah and Tanach, and Chumash, Rashi, books of great rabbis, especially mussar, listened to some strong rabbis I became obsessed with Torah. I still had some issues with the State of Israel. But that last not for too long. Hashem sent me the one who was behind this miracle (all religious jews may know him and how he works such miracle). Till the holy one prophet of Israel (alav HaShalom), I won't mention his name, but you may guess, visited me in a dream and told me what are you doing, you are yourself from 4 tribes, from your maternal and paternal sides, Asher, Gad, Dan and Yudah (From King David himself) and you hate your own people? Since then I study the Torah as if i was converting or a student in yeshivah. I have not done much research but I have found out there has been a community of jews who came to the village of my maternal grandmother with ships from Spain in then ottoman Albania (they landed in the bey of vlore) where this village is located near Vlore. They for many reasons have converted to christianity or islam but when they came here they were called people who could not speak the language. Surely they spoke Ladino. This is from a person who is close to me and his patrilineal line till his great grand father kept jewish rituals secret despite being christians outwardly. So a community of sephardim existed there and they became like many jews in history crypto jews and/or intermarried for reasons Hashem knows and if I do a research I may find a jewish woman somewhere in my matrilineal lineage but it is difficult. But if I find that evidence I am a jew halaichally as many people are and do not even know it.
