What you are saying is islamically right. However, for an outsider and even for vast majority Muslims, there are huge differances in the way Islam is practiced culturally, from saudi, pakistan, iran, indonesia etc and each of them believe their mode is correct. Islam is a broad set of principles. within these broad principles, living islam can be differant based on time and place. Islam does not envisage a world where everyone dresses like arabs , speaks arabic and looks the same. Quran says that Allah created differant groups/tribes , so that they identify each other. So, diversity is a design of Allah to be preserved. Diversity in practice is inherent. Only need an open mind. I hope european muslims create a dynamic living Islam, as it was practiced by prophet and early muslims, rather than the asian fossilized static interpretations of Islam. Throw away a lot of unnecessary books written centuries later which has taken precedence over Quran.

With KZbin, you can see the world & it’s history... I met a few white Muslims about 30 years ago, never knew Muslims were white... Interesting world... Clinton was President at that time, I would hear him say, “Not on my watch, I will stop this”, & he did...A statue was built there honoring him... When I worked as tourist guide for city of Sarajevo ,some 44 years ago , at the classes about history of the city we where briefly informed about Sufis / dervishes and some Sufi places / tekije in the city , but we never actually visited or attended sufi gathering and Zikr .I only felt that this places are very secret mystic places , I never dreamt that one day in future will be open for my own heart .I was not brought up in any religion . I heard one time from my maternal grandmother that her father was Sufi sheikh in period before First World War .She mentioned “ his dervishes would visit him and stay all night in the tekke , she was very small but she remembered sound of HU resonating trough the night “, she was only 6 years old when her Sheikh father passed away , even if I asked she could not share anything more about this “ strange “ sound of Hu and this spiritual practices . Some decades later , trough internet i was guided to some website about Sufis here in this country where I’m now . I saw it and kept visiting even I could not understand entire text in English, was not interested in religion or spiritual path except as only interesting information , my family is mix family and I did not have any plans to become Sufi / dervish .But something was pulling me to keep visiting that website . Than some chain of events brought me to place of Sufi gathering and my first taste of beauty of the zikrullah …this was 20 years ago . Damir is right in his statement “ who ever taste zikrullah is always longing for it “ .( as the words of one Ilahi says “who ever taste love , will never be the same “). I feel so blessed for being invited to the Sufi path . If you decided to take a deeper look in the history of Sarajevo , you will be surprised by the number of Sufi places of gatherings - tekije in Sarajevo throughout past centuries .You will discover very rich treasure of Sufi path in Sarajevo and Bosnia .Inshallah

Hi @Rajotavo, by snake he meant about temptations in this world like wealth, high titles, desire for physical relationship, etc which, if we don't have self control and let ourselves go loose on these things in an extreme and unbridled way, could lead to grave consequences on our and other's wellbeing. Why is it that these sort of documentaries always use "oriental" or, even worse, war-like drums for the music? Why so ominous? Subliminal messaging aside, it reflects both a horrible intention behind their pretend "tolerance" message, and a lot of ignorance. Reflect things as they are. You don't see them playing suspenseful war-drum music on documentaries on Hindus/Buddhists/Jews/Christians etc.

You cannot compare European Muslims in Bosnia or even in Albania with other nonEuropean Muslims. It's simply not the same culture, even the religion is the same. It's a 500 years story. Fact is that Islam came with Turks and conquered and converted domestic people. Bosniaks or Albanians are not newcomers from Asia or Africa. In Bosnia religions and ethnicities were always mixed and marriages were made between religions and even communistic Atheism left its traits. That's something total different for let's say Arabia where Islam is state religion. Just to add, I think that Bosnian way to be a Muslim is the right way.
