Welcome to the Brotherhood. I hope the reunion when you got home was everything you hoped for and that you get more of your service commitment than you thought you would. I hope you and your entire cycle will accept the respects, congratulations and regards of an old cavalryman. A tip of the Stetson to you.

Being a former Marine, I had to look up what a 42A is. You're an ADMIN CLERK, brother.

Good luck to you! PROTIP: If you haven't started your physical training, start immediately. Second thing: Bring absolutely nothing with you that isn't on your instructions. Everything, literally everything, else is contraband. So don't.

At least you're an actual combat soldier. Not like these paper pushers.

42A hu? interesting, Im assuming your guard/reserve or are you just on HRAP? Im confused, Did they start your graduation ceremony at dam near 6am in the morning? Also they force you guys to leave with your dress uniform on? Im not familiar with the fort Jackson line of aits.
@Fil_AmLife8 ай бұрын
I am National Guard. And yes, our graduation ceremony started at 7 am. They also did not let us change out of dress uniforms until we got to the airport.

Is itjust me, or do those female soldiers look a little on the chubby side? Are Army weight standards not in force any more?
@carlhicksjr84018 ай бұрын
Three things: 1. Part of it is the fit of the jacket. that split tail does nothing for the female figure. 2. Most women are 'hippy' and have a rump. Madison Ave. insists that a woman's hips should not exceed the width of her shoulders, but real women aren't built like that. 3. Most of the most incredible physical specimens I met on active duty didn't look like it. One particular guy was built like a fireplug, short and squat. He couldn't run fast, but he could run all freaking day long. Totally not kidding. I watched him do a 5-miler running AROUND the company. Another guy I knew was tall, skinny, built like a green bean on a diet, but he could bust out 75 pushups and 75 sit ups on the APRT. Don't judge a book by it's cover, bro.
