True. I find a depressed mindset easy to fall into. Rescuing animals and prayer (ok iced coffee too) are my escape from it. Even on horrible days I havent been able to cry around a rescue horse

Three years ago I was at such a low point, I’m a homeschooled teen with no friends. One night I ran to my backyard crying, I felt alone, so so so alone. Then there was the sound of small footsteps, one of my young chickens was running to me. Not knowing what she was doing I sat down, the hen without hesitation buried her head in my hair and sat with me until I felt better. She became my rock, whenever I felt down I would go and sit with her. Then she passed away two years ago, that was the year i got my rabbit. The night before my 16th birthday I didn’t wanna go on, but my rabbit was there, she slept with me and in the morning I realized she needs me, since then I have been so much better. My pets have always been there to save me, they know when your not doing good, they always know💕

I've been there and I still feel alone a lot, but keep searching for good friends. It's been years and I've really only managed to find one of those. But like someone told me, it's not easy to find good friends. It's hard for a lot of us and you're not alone.

i have severe, clinical depression. a few days ago, i got a pet bunny. i named her bunbun. these past few days have been the best of my life. i haven’t been this happy for as long as i can remember. i can barely go to sleep at night knowing i have her to love. i cant wait to see her in the mornings. i miss her wherever i go. i love her so much already, she is my best friend. i hope she can live for 9 years. i would do anything for her. i love her more than i could ever explain. i’ve only just met her, but she has also saved my life. about a week ago i was attempting to overdose. thankfully i didnt. but i’ve never felt that ready to die. i couldn’t ever think of doing that now, because i have bunbun to take care of, and she depends on me. she makes me so happy. and i’ll love her forever.

i have severe anxiety and during my low times my rabbits help me, sadly he's almost 10 years old and i don't know how much time is left, but during his last moments i want him to know he was the best. I'm very lucky to have him for 10 years, not many rabbits get that far. I really hope Lennon gets to be 10 because she's the best little girl. LOVE YOU LENNON AND LORELEI!!!!

I discovered your channel years ago during the hardest time of my life. I traveled 100% of the time for work which was unexpected, endured plenty of heartache, and my depression and anxiety hit an all time high. I needed companionship. I did extensive research and decided to get Bee (my bunny) when she was a few weeks old. She traveled with me and quickly became my little beacon of light and continues to be my world. I've learned so much raising her and her support allowed me to take the time to understand myself and heal. Bee truly saved my life ❤.

I've struggled with severe depression and anxiety my whole life. Graduating college was especially rough on me, until I adopted my bunny, Persephone. In bonding with her, I've been able to cope with my feelings a lot better and I've found that I can be happy. She's truly a wonder and has saved me from myself. That's terrible! I agree with @erketh, maybe some people will try to help. Are there any things he likes? Around 8 years ago, our cat ran away. When we noticed, we put out a plant all cats like (I forgot what it's called), and he came back. Two months is a long way, but still, trying to spread the word and trying to get him back is still worth a chance. I hope you will find your rabbit. I've just gotten a rabbit three days ago, but I would cry my eyes out if something happened to him. It will be okay.

I cried throughout the entire video. It's good to know I'm not the only one. I suffer from depression and anxiety as well. Rabbits are so underestimated and misunderstood. I lost a very special, sweet bun to cancer in April. She was the love of my life. She gave me purpose, would always comfort me and make each day better. While I'm eternally grateful I got to know her (she too changed my life), I struggle to come to terms with her not being with me anymore. She could have had many more years and I mourn the lost time we could have had. I've had other rabbits and loved each and everyone of them. But she helped me so much and I feel like no other rabbit or human will ever be able to fill that void. :(

Im willing to admit you got tears streaming down my face. Thank you for the content you put out. It has helped me so much to give my bunnies a shared life, equal to mine. To learn how to be patient even on the days I feel so discouraged by their fear of me, understanding where it stems from and working on our bond. I wouldn’t give them up for the world. I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure they have the absolute best food, hay, cleanest water, and stimulating open wide environment-to the whole apartment. I tried doing the head touching after filing their nails but they don’t seem to love it lol maybe we’ll have to be bonded more. I’ll keep trying and wait for as long as it takes, though I don’t think it should be long ;)

I'm ngl I REALLY regretted getting my bunny when I got him, he didnt like me and he was crazy, but I decided one night that it was my job to earn his trust and I threw out his cage and bonded with him, he is the best, I couldn't ask for a better friend, I have friends but he is my BEST friend and I love him, he is my baby, and I couldn't ask for a more amazing friend, he has helped me through so so much, my granny, my dog, my budgie and my cat all died this year, and obviously everything else, but he was there.... And I think people see youtube videos like Lennon and lorelai and assume every bunny is going to be as affectionate, and it is sad when people realise that and dont even put in the effort to work at a bond, you seem like an amazing bunny parent! This made me cry I also have a bunny his name is simba in the starting when I bring him home after few days I started thinking that may be I should give him away because he used to poop everywhere and I am not able to train him but as soo as I saw your videos I decided to bond with him and that thing change my whole life. Because after bonding with him he started playing with me walk along with me and he is still not properly potty trained but still I love him so much I am going to take care of him for his whole life I also brought a another bunny her name is eva and now I love both of them...and they don't used to live in cage they are free roam rabbits💖

You Inspired me to adopt Bunny chia. He was in the humane society for over 2 years! And finally he has his forever home with us. He’s helped heal my depression when my head was saying all of the negative things about how I’m not good enough how I’m not loved and that I have no time to raise an animal (the list goes on and on)But my spirit told me to put myself in the bunny’s position…thinking 2 years of no home no love just waiting every day seeing animals come and go but not you…there was a purpose for chia and I to be together finally 2 years later of waiting and probably giving up hope we brought him home! I’m so grateful that you found each other! As a woman who’s been battling depression for most of my adult life AND who’s also been “rescued” by companion animals I cried through your beautifully, touching life story, especially the scenes showing you in bed in the darkened room with the narration of overlapping thoughts bombarding to the point where screaming might be necessary to escape. I think of my rabbits as my children and I feel like I’m about to loose my little girl instead of my rabbit and it’s so hard to even think about. My parents don’t get what is so hard about losing her but I’ve whatched her grow and fall and rise and now the fact that an expensive problem threatens to take her away is gut wrenching. It’s also her big sister who will be losing her too and just the fact that when I felt alone the only ones I could truly depend on were the ones that depended on me. I really hope that she gets through this problem, I really don’t know what I’ll be getting up for in the morning if she doesn’t. I’m really sad for you but she is in a better place now. RIP Sadie

This is exactly my situation with my rabbit Blackburn. I rescued her off the side of the road in March of this year. I had no idea how to take care of her or what needed to be done. I was living alone in my dorm due to COVID, and life was really lonely. I've struggled with depression and anxiety my entire life, but Blackburn has changed my life for the better. She helps me get out of bed in the morning when I can't do it alone, she sits on my shoulders when we go outside for a walk or go to the store, and most importantly, she's incredibly loving and kind. I can't even imagine what my life would have been like without her by my side this past year.

I found a 6 year old girl, Luna, she’s an English lop mix, she is so very sweet looking and something about her pulls me in. This made me tear up. The same thing happened to me close to two years ago. I bought my guinea pig out of impulse but I knew there was this little thing depending on me to survive. He saved me and he does to same for me as Lennon does for you. Depression really sucks, but having furry friends makes such a difference. Thank you for your videos. First thing first, ppl around can feed our bunny, however can they provide the affection, love that we share to our bunny? Thats why we have to stay alive for them, as hazy as it sounds. They still need us. Crazy is, we can give so much love to them in the middle of our own storm, ‘depressed ppl gave another the love they deserved’. Lori Matthew and A Pizza Noob, , get out into nature, truely look around, spend quiet time, and you will understand that true happiness does not come from most of the “things” our lives are made up of! Walk barefoot, smell flowers and really take the time to look at them. Life changes all the time and nothing lasts forever, good or bad. Try to get past this hump and soon you will be happy you did. Do what’s right in life and don’t let others judge you. If you make mistakes, just get past them, everyone makes mistakes. One of the best things anyone can do that is in depression, is to go help someone else. Volunteer to feed the hungry or to visit people in nursing homes that never get visitors. When you focus outside yourself, your life gets richer!

This is also my story, almost exactly. The only exception is instead of a KZbin channel, which I considered, I started a rescue and I've written a series of books about rabbits (which I'm now reconsidering a channel- based around the stories). Truth is, they do save you. Mine taught me what unconditional love and selflessness actually are.

i made a big mistake of not treating my bunny right, when i got him i just didnt understand him. i did all i could but she just runned and i couldnt understand why she was scared of me, once i found your channel she was already grown up. i tried to do the tutorials you have but she just bit me so i continued watching your videos, i cried alot because i was scared i would never get to share memories with her cause she didnt like me, so i tried sleeping with her. somehow that worked?? and i gave her food everyday instead of my sister because she had a bunny , so she took care of mine too. i discovered she has to be treated by HER owner. not my sister, i cant explain you how happy i was.💙

Yours was one of the first videos that came up when I was researching bunny care the night before I got her. I watched and I knew I was going to free roam her from the beginning. I started her in my large room thinking I’d have to slowly introduce her to the house, but she dived right in and made herself at home. She’s one of the best things to happen to me
