1. Philosophy: the more you sweat in times of peace, the less you bleed in times of war, train yourself in chaos and everything going wrong! 2. see yourself have a history of winning, write out and read the list over and over again 3. set small goals throughout the day 4. a navy seal will always face a consequence for not hitting a goal 5. train when you dont feel like it
@billbradleymusic3 жыл бұрын
In my life those small goals are all of the things that go wrong in a day of pouring concrete. You beat each one as it comes. Never think too much negative because it creeps into reality somehow.

I can imagine that a LOT of ppl in your situation would just brag about how unbelievably special and gifted they were, instead of making a gift of their hard-won knowledge. My favourite: the one that makes a connection between a consequence and a clear conscience. God knows many of us are either dismissive of our failings (we r only human, right), or baste ourselves in the self-hate of constant regret. To face a consequence without self-punishment to come clean and whole out of the other side. I am making a note of that one, right there. Thank you!

I love how you used these seemingly impossible training standards of a Navy seal that most people could not even imagine in their own life as a civilian. The wisdom that can be gained from special forces training and how it can translate into making a civilian more prepared and disciplined is some thing that we should all be thinking about more. I loved your video and congrats on your victory, you earned it!
@zhouwu3 жыл бұрын
Mate, I wish I could tell you which one was my favourite, but my memory isn't trained properly like yours. But I remember you saying I should set lots of small goals throughout the day. And accomplish them. And if I don't, I should give myself a negative consequence. If I feel bad, I should train anyway. Because I might feel bad on the big day. When I train, I need to be able to train in the midst of a very challenging situation, like under water. The more I sweat in times of peace, the less I bleed in times of war. I've got to work out how I started winning from my youth until now, no matter how small the wins. But something I learned specifically from you, and not from your Navy Seal coach, is how to be upfront about not being a Navy Seal. Admitting that you were in the navy. That your coach was a navy seal. And you have a lot of respect for a navy seal. But you're not a navy seal. That earned my respect.

Now, when I know that "The more you sweat in times of peace, the less you bleed in times of war" I will try to study in chaos, so that it will be easier for me to study when there is not any distraction.

More power to you. Indians are taught to memorize times table, science & math formulas, chunks of material starting 1st grade. I went back to college at 37 and earned 2.5 degrees, had to put good amount of effort since I was a single mom raising four kids. I'm 65 and still Able to recall those. I had to deprogram myself from memorization just to let my mind rest & relax since I'm now embarking on the last phase of my life's journey. You can do this.

Yes many people think and do it. Indians, Chinese, Japanese...we are trained by parents, older siblings, teachers, elders...I trained my own children and now training grandkids.i had full blown covid in July, could barely breathe, had 103 fever for days, coughing like an old coal locomotive but went out on my side walk and walked with the help of a staff/ stick. Even my children were scared but I sweated the fever out, got sunshine, kept my strength up and no hospital or western chemical junk in my body. Several people my age and better health have died either in hospital or at home. My neighbors thought I had a death wish. Another thing I did was smell the herbs & flowers in my garden. God has put in us the ability to endure and overcome much adversities but we must train by going through not avoiding, procrastinating, crying foul, or looking for a bail-out.

Wow!!!!! You clearly stated you were not a seal, but Hoo Yah for serving our country in the Navy. I hope that was on your list!!!! I am a Mother of a hopeful future candidate for the Naval Academy. It is so weird that he made his top University decision at 10 years old. He has not wavered and will be a PO1 in the USNSCC Sea Cadets doing all of the enlisted coursework and trainings. He also plays Varsity Football ,even as a freshman. He just got into Rugby this year. He took the ACT in 7th grade through Duke Talent Identification Program (DUKE TIPS) and got a medal for outscoring Seniors in Florida by 90 %. All of this is still not enough, it feels like. Somehow some of your techniques just came to me during nursing school. I memorized the blood flow through the heart ,and the only place oxygenated blood travels through a vein. I used a story. I do not need the story anymore, but I am trying to teach my 9th grade straight A honor kid easier ways to study. It makes it stick. He is fifteen and getting a tad cocky(NOT GOOD) even if the Math was a joke to him. Hopefully Pre Calc in tenth grade will challenge him before AP AB and AP BC calculus. Wait ahhhhh he likes girls now. I know it is normal, but the texting is a big fat distraction. Thank you for your videos. I am going to try to remember my patients names, short term memory …….poof!!!!! thanks again I am going to use some of your strategies because I am a butterfly and I want to code. I can barely type, and the computer hates me. I WILL defeat my inadequacy in computers. LOL
