It seems to me like Murasaki was trained as a ninja, but was eventually kicked out/fled because of his vices. He never refined his techniques, but knows the basics.
@lexsamreeth87243 жыл бұрын
This is a very good point. There is solid evidence that he has the intellectual knowledge of the assorted techniques of the ninja, with distractions, hiding techniques, and psychological warfare. His problem is that although he INTELLECTUALLY knows the techniques, he doesn't PRACTICALLY know them. It's like the difference between memorizing medical textbooks and actually practicing medicine as a doctor. You might be able to rattle off all the information correctly, but put one of these armchair physicians in a medical emergency, and you'll be lucky if they don't wind up making things worse. In this case, Murasaki's lack of practical knowledge leads him to constantly letting his emotions get the better of him, whether it's his addiction to naughty magazines, his pride, or his inability to handle unexpected complications.

@4ncientGu1503 жыл бұрын
Hey Goomba, you should do a video covering the new Revenant Hunters in Destiny 2 for Which Ninja. Their new stuff is honestly and truly, actually pretty ninja. They have two charges of a melee attack that slows (and freezes slowed) enemies. It doesn't do a lot of damage, but it bounces around and spreads the status effect a lot, making it useful for preventing enemies from following you if you need to retreat and heal, or open them up for you to hit them with something hard. The grenade shown for Hunters draws enemies in from a pretty decent range, and lingers, slowing enemies until they're frozen solid. Its most useful trait though, is in how long it lingers. You can use it at a chokepoint to hold territory for yourself, or throw it at a boss to repeatedly freeze them. The super is to throw two Kamas, one named Silence, the other Squall. One freezes a large area, the other makes a localized storm that slowly freezes enemies while it keeps damaging them with cold, cutting winds. Lastly, there's the two aspects, one gives a dive attack thats used from up high to attack and instantly shatter frozen enemies. People will use it to freeze and shatter enemies, sometimes aggressively, sometimes while camping. The second causes your dodge to slow enemies around you while you can also use your dodge to recharge your melee. And finally there's the exotic, Mask of Barris. It is literally you, wearing the enemies face. It makes your dodge super fast, while also cloaking you while you use it. It also minorly boosts arc damage, so most people pair it with a arc shotgun or sword, and use it to zip up to a enemy from behind, and quickly put them down. Either that or its a easy escape button.

Now, I get that there are lot's of times where Murasaki was straight up antithesis of Ninja (Like the porn stash and failing in hiding himself with the flag). But I don't think that makes him a bad REPRESENTATION of ninja in media. Instead he's a representation of a bad ninja. Which I think is an important distinction. All the stuff he does is usually related to ninja themes. It's kinda hard to explain my point, but to someone like me, who was a kid who didn't know anything about ninja culture, I still feel like I managed to learn about ninja's from Murasaki's screw ups. Sure, he failed at hiding under the fake rock and he jumped out to retrieve his ero picture, but that portrays him as a failing ninja, and by contrast I can imagine a good ninja doing the opposite. I guess my point is he is a good representation of a bad ninja, where many ninja are a complete misrepresentation (Like Naruto hitting people with magic spiral balls). I think Murasaki is a good compromise of having a ninja while still sticking to the gag-nature of early dragon ball. At least that's my opinion. Oh, and the starting argument of Murasaki's introduction being over-done with super speed and death shuriken, doesn't that actually fit ninja well? Not the speed or the shuriken, but the "legend" about him. I thought part of being ninja was to use tricks and illusions to make you seem more lethal and mysterious than you were. The comical inadequacy that follows just goes to show that Murasashi must have been good at deceiving people who know about him into thinking he is more dangerous than he actually is

Hey Gaijin, I loved your Greninja video, and I have an idea for another Pokémon Which Ninja. Instead of a specific Pokémon though, it's a type in general. Poison Type. The reason I say that is that they're one of the fragile types out there, but the the general strategy for most of them is to go in, Poison the target, and either die, or get out. Not to mention the first 2 poison specialists are the Fuschia City Gym Leaders Koga and his daughter Janine, with their gym in the anime acting like a typical ninja house. Plus, a lot of poison type Pokémon are based on animals that stereotypical ninjas would use, such as insects, arthropods, and snakes. Examples are Venomoth, Drapion, Arbok, & Seviper. I could actually make a whole breakdown, but I'll stop now.

I would love to see an episode of Which Ninja on the Falcomon digivolution line from the Digimon franchise which is basically a Ninja Bird to Mythical Crow associated with the Ninja, and finally for the Mega Stage Tengu Ninja. Basically Falcomon starts out as a little pudgy bird whose special attack is Ninja Star in which he throws Shuriken in a spread formation, then his champion form is Peckmon a sleek fast and agile Ninja Emu capable of running at great speeds for a good distance before tiring out and is capable of leaping in tree-tops with no problem his special move is Kunai Wing a move in which he fires a good number of "kunai" from one of his wings, and then we have his ultimate form Crowmon or as he's known in the Japanese Dub/English Sub Yatagramon which is basically the Yatagarasu the famous three-legged crow stated in Japanese myth to be associated with heroic ninja, and then we have Ravemon which is basically a Tengu Ninja with raven wings.

My brain blanked for a moment and couldn't tell the difference from Gaijin Goombah and Shadiversity. Both are awesome channels that do content on historical culture (Japanese for Gaijin Goombah and Medieval Europe for Shad), and for some reason it took me a while to realize that I registered the two channels as one in my brain.

I always wonder about this. And the Murasaki episodes always make me laugh in the General White Arc.

I have an interesting question that I can’t seem to find the answer to: in popular media, video games and such, there always seems to be an association with electricity and bugs, particularly beetles. Why is that?

I haven’t really noticed that trend. The only examples of that I can think of is the Thunderbugs and Flashbugs from MH, and the Chargabug and Dottler lines from Pokémon

Shuesha got me spooked.

@@GaijinGoombah are you seriously telling me that shuesha is going to tell you off for showing some lousy pictures of dragon Ball? If that's true just tell them to piss off and that they're being rediculos. Hell you know what if you're worried we can do it over on my channel, I'm not scared of shuesha or toai so if you wouldn't mind collaboration I'll take the blame If you don't want to, I really love your videos and which ninja is one of my favorites, so if you're up for it let me know. Love your stuff gaijin keep going

*Lillie close her eyes while she toss a multiple shuriken around blindly as Murasaki run but sadly he knocked out because of Lillie lucky shot to the head* Lillie: “It might be lucky but it was a good shot.” (( A bad ninja gets punished by Lillie improper ninja techniques, failure get punished. Lol

6:43 Oh, that's where Naruto got the Three Ninja Prohibitions from! 8:09 I'm getting flashbacks to the Ninja Boys from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

What about a "how Ninja is Garret from Thief" Video? Garret has a lot of qualities that ninjas have in his games such as not killing and using a lot of ninja-like techniques

You need to do an episode on Cyberpunk 2077. Thanks to the presence of the Arasaka megacorporation, the game is teeming with references to Japanese folklore (the scene where V and Takemjra see the cat/bakeneko in particular)

I wonder if Gaijin Goombah may review the content of Genshin Impact once the Inazuma region is released which is a entire region based on Japan by design and theme. I heard "rumors" one of the Inazuma characters is a Tanuki Ninja
