I too am never bored with your videos Kevin. You have so much knowledge to share with us it is amazing. A video regarding what to choose for starter animals would be good, like the snake family, monitors, other types of lizards, turtles and torts, iguana's, there are a bunch of interesting animals out there, but not all of them are good for a beginner. Example: I got a silky bearded dragon. Big mistake and ignorance. She shed so bad she lost toes. the vet said we were doing all the right things for her. we tried so hard to prevent that from happening. That's what you get from buying from a pet store. those kinds of warnings not too many pet stores will provide you. They just want the sale.

Oh, Kevin. This s just more proof that you are TRULY the Doctor Doolittle of our generation. You've raised and socialized a chicken to have ZERO FEAR of snakes and lizards!! Your behavior videos have taught me a lot in the last year but I think I've been gifted with the two sweetest ball python a person could ask for. My BEL is the only one that's ever struck out...and it wasn't even near me it was at thin air behind him. It was a "watch mom...I can do this" like a toddler. The same little boy love to crawl up to tongue flick my nose and just rest there. It's one of the most awesome things to be nose to snoot with a snake and just have them calm and watching you without fear. My normal girl will crawl out of her cage and up my arm when I open for her...her name is Indiana and she's always ready for adventure. BP's are just total characters with huge personalities.

Most snakes live most of their life in a burrow with their heads stuck out .....especially pythons that's what makes them feel secure and protected
@smarttechaddict6 ай бұрын
@user-wz8kj6ly9u correct, but they have enrichment, they can move around, they can bask if they want to, they can hunt their food for something to do. Would you put any other animal in small a box with water and paper only? If his other snakes are given great enclosures with enrichment he know that snakes require it. Would he do that to his favourite snakes?
@YochevedDesigns6 ай бұрын
I agree. The snakes are clean and well fed, but are they living their best lives? The move towards naturalistic and bioactive enclosures is going to soon be the industry standard, I hope. It will raise the cost of snakes across the board, but that's not always a bad thing.
@smarttechaddict6 ай бұрын
@YochevedDesigns I think it's time that we stop sweeping it under the carpet that breeding snakes are often abandoned in boxes. Just because you really like a breeder doesn't mean you can't call them out. Most other animals have had their habitat made better, like dog breeding not being kept in small cages. Not a single breeder has ever replied to these comments.
