HOW NOT TO KILL A PEPEROMIA & EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THEM

In this video, Pinoy Plantito shares how to take care of peperomias and how to grow lush and healthy peperomias. He started by sharing the background of the plant- its origin, features and characteristics. He also introduced some of the varieties of pepperomias like watermelon peperomia, peperomia caperata, peperomia obstifolia, peperomia metallica, peperomia scandens, peperomia teardrop, to name a few.
Next, he talks about the lighting, humidity and water requirement for peperomias. Most importantly, he talks about the most common reason for killing peperomia which is root and stem rot, its cause being a fungal infection called phytium due to anaerobic soil and clogged pots. He shares on how to deal with mealybugs as well. He also shared some of the symptoms peperomias are showing, what it could mean and what to do about it. He did a sample propagation of the two ways peperomis are propagated: thru stem and leaf cutting propagation.

Thank you for this video! I didn't know much about peperomias when I found my watermelon mini. I wish I had left her in her plastic grow pot. It's easier to bottom water in that pot. Her leaves started to curl from calcium magnesium deficiency too. Treated her once and just waiting for her to recover. On the other hand, my peperomia hope is fannnntastic!!! She's doing so well!!

Pepperoni Pellucida or pancit-pancitan was a surprise for me and that's the only pepperoni that we have in my house seeing in different parts of our backyard garden,I didn't know it was belong to pepperonis family of plants.thanks for the knowledge and I was empress to your pepperonis it was so cute and beautiful.

Excellent educational video on Peperomia! Very enjoyable. I am currently rehabbing a Cupid Peperomia or Variegated Scandens that I recently purchased. It was on clearance and I just couldn’t leave it there. I took cuttings for insurance so I really appreciated the propagation information . Well done!! 👏🌿🥰💚

This is helpful information. I bought a peperomia caperata 'luna red' two weeks ago. I did plant it in a mixture of succulent soil and my normal tropical plant soil mix. I did bottom water it the other day. I fill up my kitchen sink with water and soak the plants in the sink for an hour or two. Then i drain the sink and allow the plants to drain any excess water before I return them to their places.

Please help mine cappanada have leaves droopy the soil is moist . There is new growth but all leaves have droopy and only one left this happened in winter they were doing so well in summer . what do you think can be done to prevent this

I’m about to kill my red ripple peperomia. I may have over watered it. My moisture meter states that it’s moist dead center. The stems and leaves are sagging now. Should I remove the wet soil and replace it? It’s still in the original nursery pot.
