The first time I ran a power wire, I ran it underneath the car. I used metal clamps along the chassis and brought into the trunk through a hole that was originally for the spare tire 🤣🤣🤣

My setup is like that I don’t have grommets in my firewall so I ran it under the car in a rubber hose and into my drain plugs then silicone. gotta do it with my new amp I’m getting also

I have done the same on cars that are very difficult with very big dashboards but you can’t tell me you have never welded the door to the fender like this lol I learned my lesson and i learned that day that that power cable and metal equals instant welder 😂😂

Lol i use the firewall with most cars, but i def had an old blazer that we just ran the 4 gauge through the door grommet 🤣. Never had the chance to snag on anything, but its too much work to do anyways, im poking a hole idgaf 😂

Ive ran wire through the fender well and into a hole with a grommet that feeds into the car which IMO is just as good as going straight through the engine firewall.

On a 2012 Civic the only really good option is running it through the fender well and there's a grommet on the firewall on the kick panel. Of course you don't run the wire through the door jamb.

First try the ground from the battery and where it may connect to the chassis. Then look at your altenator ground wire on where that is grounded too and then look for a wire that is connected from any part of the engine to the chassis. Hope this may help you.

I did my sub system for the first time ran the power wire through my steering shaft rubber boot then through the side interior plastics and out through the back. Wiring is just about unoticable everywhere

That's funny we've all done things like that and honestly there's nothing wrong with it most of the time it works fine you're just mad cuz I didn't pay you $500 or $1,000 to run some stupid lines as long as you know that you could be setting your car on fire what's the problem you learned a very valuable lesson lol and there would be a fight in the parking lot if you go ripping my subwoofer wires out any day of the week so you just ripped his power wire off the battery terminal why would you do that first off the fuse block you could have put some heat shrink or electrical tape around that shortened up what was sitting out of it maybe there's not a way to get through the firewall on that car some of them there's no way to get through without drilling a hole and some people don't want to drill a hole there's reasons there are ways to handle that situation better than what you did there's nothing wrong with the way he connected it to the battery you could have just taken the bolt off and not been a child if all of the rest of the system was fine you just messed up his whole system for no reason other than you not liking how it was done
