Hey! I'm Damian Keyes and I've worked with musicians every day of my life for the past 20 years. The internet is deeply untrusting understandably and here is my background so you can have the full picture.
When I was 18, I was signed to a major label (dropped 6 months later) and at 23 I co-founded a Music University in Europe called BIMM (valued at $300M). I’m also a bass player, I’ve played for a number of artists including Eric Clapton, Alanis Morrisette and Billy Cobham. I initially retired at 30, but realised that life gets boring if you’re not building!
I have always been in-between the music industry and education which is how I ended up building my KZbin channel - I’ve been teaching artists how to release music long before it was a ‘niche’! I now educate artists around the world with my Academy, KZbin channel and I work directly with labels internationally alongside owning a live agency and management company.

I release on average 60 videos a year on KZbin, record roughly 80 originals and 60 covers a year. I then keep some recordings in the vault for later releases. It’s the only way to keep going online and support my career so far. It’s an absurd amount of work, but if it wasn’t for that nothing would be happening. The music industry keep changing and evolving! Cool videos, you’re right about being consistent, it’s an important factor in today’s social media platforms.

Good stuff Damien. As a musician with a jazz background, I’m always looking for perfection before I put anything out. I’m changing that real quick because it can hold me back at times. I would have never thought of putting out something so raw in the beginning stages. That stops now.

This is a really good idea, to take your fanbase with you on the journey, I LOVE THAT! Thank you so much for the inspiration, I will do exactly this, I've been wondering if one song a week is enough, but I figure what I can do is release one composition a week at the same scheduled time each week, but also have special releases, and then also release extra songs, and parts of what can be a much bigger composition, leading up to the full symphony.
