Ezra Firestone’s businesses generated $70M in revenue last year, but he says he’s just “some guy.” He started his first ecommerce store in 2006, selling Marge Simpson wigs. Despite being a high school dropout with no experience or education, he was determined to make his business work. Two decades later, he’s invested and co-founded five successful businesses, including Smart Marketer, an ecom education platform that provides that helps entrepreneurs run stores that generate over $20 million in yearly revenue. In this episode, Firestone leans on his decades of experience to outline the fundamentals of a revenue-generating ecom business.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Why you don’t have to be “book smart” to be successful
Firestone’s step-by-step sales funnel
Why you need a basket-building product at the beginning
The benefit of a merchandising strategy
The three core aspects of business
What conversion-based commerce means
A TikTok Shop secret
How he almost went broke selling 8,000 Marge Simpson wigs
Why having fun helps you win in business
And much more ecom strategies and advice…

“Showing up everyday with a positive attitude” and believing that your product solves the problem. Great video.

Ezra's story is super inspiring, showing that grit beats traditional education every time. For entrepreneurs looking to replicate his success in e-commerce, remember that beyond sales funnels, customer lifetime value (CLV) is key. Optimizing for repeat purchases through subscription models or loyalty programs can significantly boost your CLV and overall revenue.

Great video. I have to ask would you mind sometimes putting in products from winnerzila in your videos? Like give us a brief review of their service. I think a lot of people here would want to see that. I just subbed on their service yesterday and I already got seven sales. I am so happy that it finally started to work for me, it would be really nice to see detailed review of their service. I am planning to sub on their lifetime plan as it is very affordable now.

You obviously suffer from selective hearing because he did acknowledge that there are a lot of other social media sites but he rates Meta's sites higher than all of them for econmerce stores.

He said for beginners. It’s funny how you thought it was a good idea to make a snide mark about a dude who built more wealth selling online than your entire lineage. Good play pal.

@@AP_123_ no, the comment was for your benefit. Your worldview is pretty pathetic tbh, maybe no one in your life is courageous enough to tell you to start being more positive.
