Hiya, I have absolutely LOVED this channel for years and really cherish the work you have done with all of these beautiful people. I wondered if you both had any plans for future interviews in the couple series with older lesbians/ general wlw established relationships. I feel myself underrepresented in the media and just in general with the people i know, and it would be so meaningful to see two women who have stayed together (maybe with a family), and that maybe thats possible for me in my life. sending so much love xxxxx

they are the embodiment of authentic selves. They embody-- a distinct presence that seems to actively deeply love each other without forgoing genuine self love. Their love isn't lazy--you can sense the commitment to their own growth and development. Love is a verb and they are both so beautiful. xxx I wish them continued delights and depths , good health and joy in their own universe created together. Marvellous couple, marvellous individuals. xxxx

13:45 "We're the entertainment." I especially relate to that part. People have tried to use me as a novelty decoration for their mundane lives often. And it's not a compliment. It's another version of objectification. A pedestal is an open stage for othering. I'm not an accessory.
@aussiejubes2 жыл бұрын
Yes. I've never ever heard another person talk about this. I've always called myself a performing monkey because that's what people have always demanded of me. When the penny dropped at 30, I went into isolation & tried to change who I am. A diagnosis of ADHD at 41 helped me start to heal the hurt I felt with this issue. It explains a lot & allows me to navigate social situations & relationships with more authenticity & less fear of being kept around just because I'm the entertainment. This is a fairly niche issue & I'm sorry you can relate! ❤️

Everyone always says I'm crazy when I say hand holding and cuddling is so intimate for me personally. More intimate than sex or even kissing. It caused issues during my early 20's dating life. I just have to be completely comfortable and vulnerable with the person.

You ladies interview and talk to the best people. These two men are wonderful! I wish I was friends with them. It was do interesting to watch the vulnerability come put as the undressed and they seemed to relax more and were just so in eachothers company. And then Ooran smiled! I hope he knows how uplifting his smile is! His whole face lights up! And then towards the end Robert smiled. And again the room lit up. I love these two and wish them many more years of love and happiness!

I really relate to the guy on the left, I understand the dynamic forced on him by his mom and his family. I went through the same thing and I’m glad he feels honest enough to say it out loud. Some people didn’t do their best. The scar that being left out of the unit from an early age leaves is deep and upsetting especially when you grow as a person but you feel you can’t drop your survival tactics

Yeah, I'm an okay parent but it's a mix of doing my best and falling down on the job. It's okay if my kids call me out on it. If they can't critique while growing up, they feel powerless. If they can't critique when they are adults, it will be harder to heal from any damage I have done.

This couple is a national treasure! ❤ Edit: I'm totally captivated by the strip-poker, slow un-costuming. It feels like a visual representation of the interview, slowly revealing the human being underneath. I also like that that they attempt to convey the importance of marriage for queer couples, especially as we age and those rules and regulations that never mattered before suddenly actually impact our lives. Property, medical decisions, inheritance, etc...
