First off, I'm so happy that your mom is getting better, and I hope and pray that she'll fully win her fight. My mom is a breast cancer survivor, so when Alex mentioned your mom's diagnosis in Part 2 of the Kilimanjaro series, it hit home for me even though I was only 6 when my mom diagnosed and thankfully have no memory of her going through treatment. In June 2018, she underwent genetic testing for the BRCA gene, and thankfully she doesn't have it which means I don't have it (I was only gonna undergo testing myself if she tested positive, but since she tested negative, there's no need for me to do so). However, because my mom was only 39 when she was diagnosed, I had to start getting mammograms early because I'm at high risk based on having a close relative diagnosed before age 45. Now onto your channel: I came across your channel in the summer of 2018 when I was watching videos on how to survive long haul flights and combat jet lag in preparation for my first trip to Europe that fall. Fast forward to a few months later and I watched Alex's video on turning 30 since I was dreading my own 30th birthday that was fast approaching and was trying to get rid of my insecurities. After that, I watched a few of your videos and then subscribed. I have been able to not only get a glimpse of what it's like visiting the destinations that I really want to go to one day but also discover more places that caught my interest and that I added to my bucket list. I also follow both of your personal profiles in addition to the profile for the channel so I can see what you guys are up to. I can't wait to see what's next and best of luck to both of you.

Mothers are the best. My mom has an MRI in 2 years, to see if she has dementia. I love my mom more than anything. So I am not handling it well but I know I need to live my life. Praise God for your mom and the progress that she has made thus far. I pray that she continues to get better and better. Also with the arthritis that you will overcome and congrats on the engagement. For all of the things that you guys have endured, I believe you are awesome and you have helped a lot of people. You supply some of the best information as I am researching teaching abroad. My question for you is, do you have any suggestions for places for me to teach? I am running into an issue because I don't have an education degree. I am certified in special education/learning disabled k-12 and I have taught for 26 years, retired last year. Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Masters in Christian Education. I'm looking to earn much in order to save and pay off debt. Thanks for any and all info. :)
