To people frustrated about this video: it’s okay to just have fun 😊. I feel similarly skeptical of astrology, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun to get my horoscope. It’s not that deep. Fun video!

I disagree. It's not just a fun video, it legitimizes bullshit and pushes it to mainstream. It often goes along other bullshit like homeopathy and even worse practices where people feel like they are better on "alternative medicine".

This isn’t my thing, but it’s nice to see how people can use this to slow down, take stock and center your brain. All of these ideas of listening to your inner voice and being mindful is a great way to maintain balance.

I loved it! As en electrical engineer, I understand the concept of energy which can be difficult for others to understand. Yes, EVERYTHING is made of energy. Even if you don’t believe in aura readings, energy is real and that can’t be denied.

That's how I thought about it too. We just can't see what we give off, because we can't see that spectrum of light. Animals can see that kind of stuff, but we have stupid human eyes. ;-) Heck, cats can see our stripes on our skin!

So apparently, the hand things react to temperature and electrodermal activity caused by different levels of sweat in the hands and uses that to apply a color filter to the photo. Science.

Best comment. I like fun and mystery but let's not pretend there isn't a scientific explanation for how this works. This lady likes to take pretty photos and give advice (for money). Let's call a spade a spade.

All y’all skeptics need to be more open minded like Kelsey is when she’s listening to Rachel around minute 20. Don’t be rude and put this lady’s beliefs down & her career down just because you’re close minded. The Sorry Girls are giving you a chance to experience something new & that’s a good thing whether you come away from it being a skeptic or not. Just be freakin nice geez

I love this. I'm not the biggest believer in auras, but I am fascinated by it and want to understand it from a scientific point of view. I like this video, because the energy you hold can effect the energy in your home so whether you're a believer or not, a reading like this can still give you perspective and open your mind to things you may have been holding back, things you need to change, etc. Different video compared to the usual content, but it's definitely an important video to show as a reminder to take a look at yourself, understand yourself, and find a balance in your thoughts, emotions and actions. I appreciate how diverse everybody was in this video in how they felt about it and hope to see more interesting stuff like this from time to time. :)

Loved this video. I've been going on my own spiritual journey over the past few years and would definitely be the Rachael in the room. I appreciate how respectful you all were, even while being skeptical, as us spiritual girlie's are met with judgment so often. But it's nice to see people who are, like Rachael said, open minded and willing to learn about something that they may still be skeptical about. This video may not be for everyone but it was definitely for me. So thanks for yet another fun time learning with you ladies. And a shout out to Rachael's multiple drinks. From one fellow neurodivergent drink hoarder to another 😉👍

It should’ve really been framed differently. Why is she given the floor as the expert in the conversation and everything she says is advice? It would’ve been ok for her to explain what she believes in and sees in the images but her aura (pun intended) of an expert or a therapist of some kind is rubbing me off the wrong way.

I can fully be on board with this not being my thing, and that I don’t believe in most of this, but to cut down a video and save awful things about it in the comments. It’s just wild to me. What happened to having an open mind? We know from this video that Kelsey is also skeptical about this and she is still being normal and human and having respect for the people who are in this video. You don’t have to act like a bad person to just enjoy a video. Or maybe just don’t watch it if you don’t agree with it.
@ciannabrokerСағат бұрын
Damn there’s a lot of haters in the comments. You don’t have to believe this, just like astrology, or the moon landing, or Jesus. For those of you who are saying “I hope she’s not charging for this pseudoscience”, this is ENTERTAINMENT. You pay for entertainment. Like Kelsey said, all of the feedback is positive, even if she doesn’t necessarily understand or believe how it actually works. She’s not telling any of them anything that’s going to hinder them in any way, she’s just probably really great at reading people. It probably helps that she has watched the Sorry Girls. Whether this is real or not, everyone who is saying they “can’t watch this video” need to open up your heart chakra and embrace a different way of thinking lmao

So, Here's my Question/Confusion. In the beginning she said that the photo was of your auras in that moment and that they change. If that's so, conceivably you could wait 10 minutes, take another photo and your aura could be completely different. Based on that, how can she read your aura and give you advice on what to do in the future? That advice would completely change along with your aura. I'm an extremely practical realist and when it comes to stuff like this a huge skeptic. I do recognize that we are all connected to the Earth, that where we were created from, so it makes sense. I just have doubts about the accuracy of stuff like this.

It's a bit of fun and a cool photographic technique but uh... I don't trust people who sell pseudoscience, which this lady is doing. If she'd framed it as a fun and cool way to take a photograph accompanied by a tarot-like reading then fine, but her defense of auras and aura reading as scientifically legitimised is dishonest. I'm reading up on how the technique works and it is genuinely quite complicated and hard to understand (for me at least!), which I suppose makes it ripe for pseudoscientific obfuscation. Weird video, but interesting, and I'm genuinely interested in the technology.
@charlotteblanchardСағат бұрын
I hope she’s at least not charging people for these readings. Capitalizing on people’s gullibility seems ethically problematic. Or if she DOES charge people I hope she at least has a disclaimer that it’s just for fun and not to be used to influence any major life decisions. 🤷🏻♀️

Although I don't believe in any of this at all, it's still interesting and in a way or another gives us (and the sorry girls that got a read) a new outside perspective. So yeah, to me it's all bs, but if making them rethink or have a more introspective thought about themselves in a way, ig it's still positive in the end.
