@@yasararif8292nobody said there weren't... however look anywhere in the world.. people move around, people get conquered etc. that being said this history is very incomplete. Israel has an incredibly long history and thousands of years of it involved Jews living there. Archeology doesn't lie even if people pass on history and can rewrite it as we see today with the Palestinians rewriting so much that people living there don't even know what actually happened.

History Lesson Palestine from the Greek word Palestina was the pejorative label that the Greek Philistines gave the Land of Israel around 1.100 BC. The Greek Historian Herodotus first used the word in 600 BC. It’s not a Region or a State. Palestine is Israel. That’s why all the places in Palestine have Canaanite/Hebrew Names not Arab Muslim. Palestinians don’t exist it’s the pejorative label for the Jews. Palestinians are Arabs that migrated from Syria, Jordan and Egypt to the Land at the end of 20th Century after the Jews drained the swamps and introduced new irrigation and water conservation techniques. Before few lived there other then Jews and Arab Nomads.

The Canaanites were a Group of Nations the Amorites, Hittites, Jebusites, Hivites, Perizzites, and Girgashites that battled among themselves for resources. They had all the characteristics of being a People like their own Religion, Culture and Language. The Israelites were a Canaanite Tribe not a Canaanite Nation due to being dispersed across Canaan.

So did the Jewish people live there and there is multiple details and historical facts of a Jewish state going back centuries. By the way just to clarify I am Irish and I am well aware of colonial abuses etc in the past. However I firmly believe that a two state solution is the only way forward and it appears this has been rejected by the Palestinians on at least 3 occasions. From what I gather the general opinion of the Palestinians is that Israel as a state should be removed from the area totally, would I be correct in saying this?

@thepiedsniper4167 a two state solution was never a serious prospect. Just look at the reality on the ground. The Palestinian genocide? Perhaps you're comparing it with Ireland. Imagine they continued to bring new protestant immigrants to the north to try to outnumber the Irish there. Take 89% of Irish water and use it exclusively in Ulster and the north. Prevent the Irish from fishing their own seas? Build new settlements around Dublin and claim it as their capital with the USA recognising it. Then tell me if a 'two state solution would work there if the Irish can just 'share' a bit more?

The Canaanites are Arabs, Arab tribes who lived in Palestine at least 4600 years ago and spoke Arabic, all the ancient cities in the lands of Palestine were built by them, and these are more than 200 cities, including the most ancient city of Ariha (Jericho). The Phoenicians and Amalekites are the descendants of the Canaanites, their tribe.
