I remember in my childhood my father used to ask me "do you want coca-cola or pepsi-cola" , but there was only "pepsi' written on the bottle, not 'pepsi-cola', little did I know "pepsi-cola" was popular in the area long before I was born. I live in Mexico, Pepsi might as well be RC Cola here. Coke is by far the favorite, not even close, it's everywhere, Pepsi is cheaper and is always the 2nd choice, and actually i think theres a bigger difference of taste here for some reason. I like 2 km from a coke bottling plant.

Alexander L Arabs call Pepsi Bebsi, because the b and p are the same letter to them. Depends on the exact accent and dialect of arab which they prefer but they still consider it the same letter. So in Libya and Egypt I had to ask Bebsi or they thought I had a speech impediment.
