Cream of Tartar is a decent natural source of potassium. it Is basically the residue left in wine barrels turned into a powder, it is dirt cheap at your local grocery store.

Doing LCHF, perhaps intermittent fasting, and find yourself constipated with hard stools? Start using NuSalt (potassium chloride) and/or LiteSalt ( mix of sodium chloride and potassium chloride). Use it liberally. I add it to my morning coffees and use it on all foods esp. meats. I think you will find the constipation gone within a few days. And if your energy lags, you may find that improving as well.

This explains alot as to what I've noticed as far as sometimes my body is watery looking and sometimes not. But recently, I added potassium carbonate to it instead, and obviously there was a chemical reaction, but is taking the pott. carb. ok in that? I know that some tout acv + baking soda together to create a neutral drink, but is The carbonate just as good as the cream of tartar? I noticed a difference in energy since taking it as well(in a positive light). Btw, went from 252 pounds 2 years ago, to 168 today thanks to much of your info and hard work. Thank you buddy!

@tarantulady85654 жыл бұрын
Seeyay The word potassium is derived from potash. Pronounced like poe-tash. Potash includes various mined and manufactured salts that contain potassium in water-soluble form. The name derives from pot ash, which refers to plant ashes soaked in water in a pot, the primary means of manufacturing the product before the industrial era.

Yeah, I did that once with the potassium chloride and sodium chloride water. The potassium chloride was precisely weighed out and I was already several days into my fast and feeling kind of tired, still it almost killed me. I ended up in the hospital because of recommendations like this, I even watched this video just a few days before I took the electrolyte drink. The dosages for potassium are way off. I now know that the body keeps only very little potassium inside the body and the "daily allowence" most people on KZbin recommend is bullshit. The slightest bit of potassium-imbalance can stop your heart from working, which was happening to me before I ended up in the hospital. Just a few minutes after I took it, I realised that I couldn't breathe properly and my perception changed drastically. Then, after the hospital visit, I found out that potassium chloride is very dangerous and shouldn't be handled by non-professionals. Even though I had a high-precision scale and enough knowledge (I'm a medical student), I couldn't know how much potassium my body could take in a certain timespan without getting out of balance. Much safer is to take only sodium, since the body can preserve potassium pretty good for a long time. And when you feel tired enough and are multiple weeks in, you may either go to the doctor, check your blood and let him decide how much to take in, or you can gradually take very low dosages of under 100 mg or a maximum of 100 mg for multiple days in a row until you feel less tired. And only start doing this IF you feel tired, because if your body is good at preserving your potassium, you're still gonna get problems because of the imbalance. To be completely safe, either stop when sodium doesn't work against the tiredness anymore or always consult a doctor when you're feeling tired. Don't make the same mistakes I made. I am embarrassed that I made this mistake myself as a medical student, even though I am still at the beginning, I should have known better. But a person with standard knowledge about medicine really shouldn't play with potassium, I am very dissapointed in you Thomas for telling people to do that, just because of some deal you're having with a brand.

Which form of potassium may break fast?
@theRealJohnErtel Жыл бұрын
One thing that's not mentioned is that if you want to be the person who is retaining 5 lbs less water weight due to potassium, your sodium to potassium ratio should be 1 to 2+. I just recently started watching my potassium and supplementing and it's true that to be in balance and not be retaining water due to sodium you need AT LEAST 2x the potassium... between 2 and 3x is what I shoot for, and I also try to keep my sodium low, which makes it hard if you love bacon ;) A great way to get potassium if you're not keto but not a big green veggie lover is watermelon. I eat about one of those small personal watermelons per day it's around 2000+mg of potassium. Also replacing almost all salt with potassium chloride. Get plenty of sodium from bacon still though :) It's a good amount of sugar but for a large volume of food I eat at a 1000-1500 calorie/day deficit and having no problem losing weight. Also don't have to drink much water because you get so much from the watermelon and it's purer than any other water you're getting other than RO. Also a great source of vitamin A & lycopene.

what about the mineral for eternal life? Have you ever lied even once, stolen anything, used God’s name in vain, looked with lust or worse sexual sins? Then you’re not a good person in God’s eyes and in terrible danger of the judgement of God which will send you to hell (a terrible place of pain and sadness FOREVER & EVER & EVER & EVER….). Remember God is the Holiest such that one small lie will induce his severe wrath. Good news is Jesus died on the cross so that you may receive forgiveness of AALL YOUR SINS (No matter how bad or how many). But you aren’t forgiven unless you REPENT OF YOUR SINS & BELIEVE IN JESUS AS YOUR GOD (repentance means turning from sin and doing your absolute best not to do it again, also ask Jesus to rid you of addictions that you’re struggling to shake away-James 4:7). God has blessed us with Great food to eat (kings in the past don’t eat like we do today), shelter, freedoms, fun, medicine, pets to enjoy their company, friends, nice music to listen to and many more things to enjoy. Yet we don’t give him thanks, Blaspheme his HOLY name etc God wants to give the free gift of eternal life (9999999999999999999999999… years of extreme happiness) but we need to humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways Believe in Jesus (God isn’t asking you to get religious he wants to have a relationship with you-like a father and his children). Think about why you’re reading this message (Everything happens for a reason) Get saved today since tomorrow is not promised (not everyone lives to 80+); Enter God’s rest; God is taking desperate measures to reach you all because the time is short. Take both like most people do in fasting. I think oxygen can treat kidney disease, heart palpitations, regulate the endocrine system, parasympathetic nervous system, light head, low blood pressure, low hydrogen chloride acid production, high levels of nitric oxide, happy hormones. The best fasting supplements is i know is red mill baking soda, real salt, no salt potassium chloride powder, potassium bicarbonate, magnesium bicarbonate, Santa cruz lemon juice 100% and sparkling water, unsweetened black tea or green tea, black coffee, and cold water, bragg apple cider vinegar.

How about using cream of tartar for potassium? It's very high in potassium.

almost a year after starting intermittent fasting I had fantastic results in terms of weight, fat, sugar..... but with potassium exceeding the values considered normal and consequently affecting the heart. Pay attention to the advice given here!

I find it really hard to get a lot of potassium and when I'm on keto I eat two avocados and 10 oz of broccoli a day

Our soil has been depleted in potassium and magnesium, fruits and vegetables are not dense rich in minerals anymore! We need to supplement with magnesium and potassium everyday especially if you are doing intermittent fasting and keto Believe me most of my symptoms did not disappear until I start supplementing with magnesium and potassium! And guess what? I'm eating tons of potassium and magnesium rich food !!

Most people blame intermittent fasting they say "it give me a headache " but that's not the case! They have headache and feeling tired because their body is consuming the electrolytes because they in fasting state !! But as soon as they take magnesium powder or potassium powder they feel more energy and lot better! And boom intermittent fasting is not so bad anymore!

Get a shaker of NuSalt at Walmart. It is potassium chloride. Use lots of it in food and drink. It rid me of light headedness and low energy almost immediately.

I've filled capsules with it, and when I feel my electrolytes are off, I've taken it, and magnesium citrate.

I just found out that foods rich in potassium can cause kidney stones. I have a problem with them. I'm staying away from beets and avocados but love spinach most of the keto food that have good sources of it I eat so I'm not worried about. I am worried about the stones though. I'm trying to eat more citrus and peppers. Does this destroy potassium? Also I tried MCT Oil for the first time yesterday and got these horrible cramps that I thought they were muscle cramps. I later found out it was gas and it was caused by the MCT Oil and being dehydrated. Thomas please inform your fans of this.

It's electric voltage (potential difference) and concentration gradient of minerals, it's not electric gradient, I think. I would like that you had explained it better, trying to find some analogies only dumbs things down, enables you to make mistakes like this and leaves us even more confused.

I really would like advice here... According to a microbiome test, my salt stress pathway is stressed and that I have excessive salt in my gut. I have now stopped adding salt to my electrolyte cocktail. I only take potassium and magnesium. Is it ok to not be taking sodium? (I do keto and OMAD and keep hearing how important it is to be taking adequate sodium, but it appears that it is not good for my gut...what about meeting my body's need for it? I would love to know what Thomas and all you other well-informed think.
