He doesn't move at speed of sound, he actually moves at lightspeed and even faster than that. If you need proof, look up the prima guide for prototype 1. The guide states that greenes shockwave attack is energy based, and alex is capable of both reacting to and outruning the energy wave, which make avoiding it a lightspeed feat. And believe it or not, even that's a massive lowball, as the guide states that greenes collective intellect was as old as life on earth. And he processed this in just 25 seconds. Being able to process that much info in that short of a timeframe means mercers reaction speed is around 396 attoseconds, which is millions of times FTL.

Also, mercer doesn't need to weaken anyone to consume them. That's literally just a gameplay mechanic to keep the game from being to easy. The only time he canonically needed to weaken an enemy for consumption is when he fought the leader hunters, and that's because like the Blacklight virus, redlight mutates to become resistant or even immune to whatever hurts it. With the leader hunter mutating 2 brains and spinal column to keep the body fighting in case one gets damaged.

Without forgetting that everything it absorbs is incorporated into its density. Just do the math on what that means, even more so taking into account the fact that their cells are naturally much stronger than a human's, they also look nothing like a human, they are a beginning of cells, cells within cells (that's why it can be so dense, it reduces the empty spaces between atoms so that things fit inside things as much as possible), each has a cell wall (like plants) and a mini brain (so that each cell is as intelligent as a human or even more). In his early beginnings, where he didn't absorb anyone, he was already lifting cars and racking up explosions and bullets like it was nothing, which means he's actually a lot stronger than you'd think, so if you did a fair calculation, they would have too many zeros. ​@@xxprototypexx5056Furthermore, this happens due to the simple fact that they are beings with Redlight and Blacklight in their organism, so they will definitely always have some adaptability to Mercer's type of absorption, however, if you want to consider something from [PROTOTYPE 2], Zeus Evolved doesn't even follow that rule, it just takes whatever it wants, but without going that far, Mercer himself from the early comics was already replicating this ability in a more powerful and grotesque way. Any being that is foreign to Redlight and Blacklight is simply absorbed by Mercer.

I grew up on Mercer but loved heller he had a better character development and a sense of humor the second game made me laugh on every mission everyone that’s white hates heller lmao because he’s black and whooped Mercer ass 😂😂😂😂

1 thing i noticed at the mercer boss fight in p2 was he didnt give it his all! he only used basic attacks from his powers instead of going all out with devastators and his armor, hell not even his shield, he just let heller hit him again and again and i was thinking while killing him "why didnt he give it his all? he was powered up, he could kill me with 1 of his devastators any time he pleased but he didnt"

@@TheRealKarmma both are great, even though heller is described as an angry man who curses he has his moments, and mercer even though he looks in p2 like hes only an edgelord in most scenes in p1 and rarely in 2 (even though it was manipulation and lies) that he is more than that! both are great characters with their ups and downs
