Sonic 3 is around the corner, so I figured now was the perfect time to cover Shadow (17 episodes in and I've only covered 3 of the characters in the intro somehow). Anyways, Sonic powerscaling is contentious, after watching the 'Sonic VS The big 3 isn't close video' it made me wanna look in to the franchise and...yeah people highball this franchise to no end sometimes. This of course serves as research on Sonic, Silver and Blaze too. Oh Sonic totally beats Gok-

​@@thedrunkgiraffe8312 Sonic's Cosmology contains Jungian Archetypes, CU, Impossible Worlds, Infinite Possible Metafictional Hierarchies, etc. Solaris was a threat to the entire Cosmology, and the Chaos Emeralds reconstructed Solaris, which means they scale beyond Solaris's Cosmology level power. Eggman confirms in IDW that The Phantom Ruby is relative, if not stronger than the Mastered Emerald, and Knuckles confirms in SA2 that The Mastered Emerald exceeds the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds. The Phantom Ruby even rivals Super Sonic in Sonic Mania, who was directly possessing The Chaos Emeralds. The Phantom Ruby is easily boundless 😈

Thanks! The 'Sonic VS The Big 3' video is the big reason why I hate the statement. - Infinite should scale to base just fine. - The high level arguments come from assuming Base Sonic beating Infinite makes him 5D too now because of the statement. - Super Sonic is 5D, base is universal. They assume that because a universe is 3D (pretty sure its 4D) Super Sonic must be at least 7D now due to the 2D gap. - SonicBoom jokes about string theory thus making Solaris a 12D being automatically somehow. It's a mess.

@thedrunkgiraffe8312 Yeah, while I'm terrible at doing Dimensional Tiering and calcs (yeah, a guy who is into powerscaling sucks as it ironic) , I also always interpret the infinte statement as a more the phantom ruby's properties (which I heard the one forces isn't the real one and eggman has acess multiple including the real one which actually does genuine reality warping), and was referencing base sonic.

IMO I think Cyber corrupted Super Sonic is the most powerful Sonic character in the games as of right now. Not only being stronger than Super Sonic 2, but also beating The End. Not only that but he one shotted it. I'd say the End has more fire power to it than Solaris due to straight up overpowering Super Sonic something even Solaris wasn't able to do. Though I do still think Solaris would win in a fight due to its' hax. What are your thoughts on that.

I imagine keeping together white space even if it was just part of it and his reality warping seemed decently strong. Also great job on the video. You did good in not underselling or overselling the franchise.

The Infinite statement you showed doesn't actually pertain to any of Eggman's creations, but just Sonic's enemies in general. I don't really see the counterargument against it aside from a lack of feats, but a lack of feats doesn't mean something isn't true if it's been stated by a credible source. Also, the Immeasurable speed scaling is much more solid than you may think. In White Space, it is a timeless-spaceless void baseline, which gives characters that can naturally move in it (like Sonic(s) and Shadow) Inaccessible speeds (though it is no longer a real speed tiering in VSB, I won't use that as my be-all end-all) as they are moving within zero time, which is easily Inaccessible. However, moving through time, repairing time, accelerating through it (which is literally what Tails said in the game) seems easily viable enough for Immeasurable speed in base. You also forget to mention that Sonic defeated or had a hand in defeating Void, who scaled above Maginaryworld, which contained a 4-D space. This would make Void 5-D if he directly scaled above it and was going to destroy the entirety of it. This would directly upscale the verse. And lastly, you also forget to mention that Sonic was only at 50% power as his lifeforce was draining away in Secret Rings while fighting an amped Erazor Djinn, who was stated to even threaten the real Sonic world. This makes Sonic bare minimum Low Multiversal. There's also the fact that in Sonic Advance 3, Eggman split the earth into 7 individual realities with one Chaos Emerald using Chaos Control. Sonic then needs to use all 7 Emeralds in the game to beat the Super Egg Robot, which contended with Super Sonic. However in Sonic 06, the robots Eggman made were said to be the strongest robots/creations he's made up to that point with the main one being Egg Cerberus, which Sonic beats in base. Egg Cerberus would scale directly above the Super Egg Robot, which would make Sonic handily Low Multiversal even back then. In terms of Outerversal scaling? No clue. Anyone's guess, but I won't argue it. Outerversal scaling is a headache.

Ty for your input! 1. I genuinely believe the phantom Ruby is what eggmans referring too, if super sonic were in the game I'd be om with it. 2. Like I said the arguments aren't horrible. Didn't realise vs battle don't use inaccessible anymore. 3. Given void is 1/2 responsible for creating it yeah I can see it. 4. Interesting points. Not that they affect anything, still neat. 5. @@thedrunkgiraffe8312 Well, the Phantom Ruby was never really HIS creation truly, more of the copies he made. Though, the Phantom Ruby isn't exactly an "enemy" per se, more of the person using it. It's like saying the Infinity Gauntlet in Infinite War is the enemy and not Thanos. Right by only a technicality, but Thanos is the one using it. So he'd be the enemy, Also yeah, VSB just paired infinite and Inaccessible as the same speed tier. Infinite is moving infinite speed in finite time while Inaccessible is moving infinite speed in zero time. Immeasurable is moving infinite speed in negative or positive time. Which would mean going back in time or accelerating through time counts as it doesn't follow linear timeflow. The Low Multiversal thing doesn't affect anything all TOO much, although it does imply that Sonic has been Low Multi for a long, long time and considering he and other characters have been confirmed getting way stronger since then, it definitely puts a "possibly higher" on that power level. Especially since Shadow is constantly stated to be Sonic's equal. In terms of Outerscaling, it's very swingy and hinges on certain interpretations of the statements from English or Japanese, but it's a bit asinine at times, so I would just scale Solaris at LEAST above Marginaryworld. You also have to account for the fact that Dark Gaia could be argued to be even stronger than Solaris due to him ACTUALLY taking two Super-level beings to effectively beat and even still he wasn't really put down. As opposed to Solaris, which has been confirmed to only need one Super form to beat one of the iterations, so this would definitely scale Dark Gaia above Solaris baseline, Dark Gaia just doesn't have that omnipresence that makes him harder to kill. Then in Gens, which happens a few games after Unleashed, Shadow is still said to be equal to Sonic and we already know that Time Eater would upscale Dark Gaia just from statements alone, so reasonably you can get two more dimensions more (since he also takes two Super forms to beat AND destroyed all of time like Solaris). Egg Wizard took two Super Forms to beat as well and that game happens after 06, so it can get even more into the dimensional tiering. But this is really just arguable, even if reasonable. Sonic villains and such are really funny cuz they genuinely DUE scale up and Sonic characters do canonically just get way stronger than before.

i do think the argument for immeasurable shadow since while yes the gameplay doesn't quite show this off too well the stuff shown with the game to me at least matters more then the gameplay this is the same game that has sonic glitching through walls and silver spamming his telekinesis are these things the characters would actually do maybe in gameplay but not in the stories where they show off far more of their character it's like using the bs argument of mario being an evil psychopath because he dropped yoshi off a cliff when that's just something you can do in the gameplay that was only used as a speedrun tactic ( god i hate when people use that argument or just any argument that mario is evil who do these guys think they are 2013 matpat )

Hm, minor critisism, but when using a clip to go to the next segment, you could have the clip be somewhat relevant to the incoming section (for example, as you segment to the speed section, have the clip give attention to something relating to the character's speed), if off course a suitable clip for that exists obviously.

However, my problem is that people always look to stuff like mind control when shadow can resist it. That or they undermine him.
