@@thebudtrender well, stats are stats but modern football its more defensive and defenses and gk actually know what they are doing, so its kind of harder to get these kind of numbers, you can even compare numbers with current scorers and you ll notice such gap between messi and ronaldo agaisnt the rest because they are that insane i think its around 0.8 goals per match let me give you one example pele claims to have scored over 1000 games but FIFA knows better, because some militar games played by pele werent taking in account due to the fact they werent fair play, some games pele even scored over 15 goals agaisnt amateurs, all my respect but it would make no sense taking those games into account, whats next taking goals you do in practice into account? it would put pele with over 1.2 goals per match
@kevin80063 жыл бұрын
@@amarodsv your second paragraph is way out of context. Unlike Pelé Puskas at least scored those goals in official matches and these were for the national team not for the club where Pelé claimed to have scored over 1200 goals. Puskas scored 84 in 85 for his national team do you know how insane that is. Imagine if he had played in those 11 seasons id reckon he’d have over 200 goals. But this is all speculation but stats would back him up. And it’s true that defense is tougher nowadays but what Cr7 and Messi are for us today was Puskas back in the day. A player exceeding all expectations and playing way before his time.

“I was with Bobby Charlton, Denis Law and Puskas, coaching in a football academy in Australia,” George Best once recalled. “The youngsters we were coaching did not respect Puskas, making fun of his weight and age, so he decided to try and hit the crossbar ten times in a row with a shot. “Law asked the kids how many they thought Puskas would get out of ten. Most said less than five. Best said ten. Puskas stepped up and hit nine in a row. For the tenth shot he scooped the ball in the air, bounced it off both shoulders and his head, and then flicked it over with his heel and cannoned the ball off the crossbar on the volley. They all stood in silence and then one kid asked who he was. I replied, ‘To you, his name is Mr. Puskas.'” (please read about his coaching career too)

MARADONA brought a mid-table Napoli to their first 2 league titles (AND a UEFA Cup, AND an average Argentina to two World Cup finals, winning in 86). DI STEFANO inspired Real Madrid to their first league title in 21 years, and established them as the dominant force in Spain and Europe. CRUYFF went to Feyenoord and won their first league title in a decade, to get revenge from the DOMINANT Ajax who ditched him, at the age of 36. RONALDO returned from his career threatening knee injury, brought Brazil to a second consecutive WC final and won this time, in 2002. -and PUSKAS returned after a 2 year ban during his PRIME age, then went right back to the top of world football at Real Madrid, 242 goals / 222 games. These were such badass and miraculous achievements that I haven't seen replicated by anyone else. Maybe Laudrup's switch from Barca to Real (5-0 / 0-5), winning his fitfh consecutive league title as Real won against Barca, comes close to Cruyff's feat at Feyenoord.

Undoubtedly he was one of the greats of world football but is probably not remembered as well as he should be by the generation that grew up watching Maradona. Puskás's left foot was a wonder and Maradona reminds me of him in that aspect together with his short stature and acute football brain. He was greatly admired by English football fans in his day, including my father. Great video mate: appreciating the historical context of Puskás’ career which is often overlooked. Players of that era possessed amazing bravery and strong mentality. Arguably Europe’s greatest ever inside forward ever, if he’d won the World Cup in ‘54 his legacy may have been regarded even higher. I believe his ‘positioning’ should be at least a 9. His natural instincts in the box or intelligent movement from deep were worldclass. Rest of his stats look pretty accurate. His finishing was GOAT-level. Not to complain too much, cause its a great video, but pronouncing the names a little bit better would make a difference. Again, hope this criticism isnt taken badly :) top stuff as usual ! ;)

He wasn't one of the names you hear among Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Gullit etc because ... He was one you hear about from your grandparents. It's after he was introduced in Fifa 21 you hear his name from younger people.

He should have 5*Skill Moves cuz he invented the V Turn. Also actually with 3 star Weak foot he got a pretty good stat. His Weak Foot wasn’t really the best You can talk about 2 even maybe about 1. so his Weakfoot is pretty good rated kn Fifa

Most people don’t know he was actually german. His birth name was Franz Purzceld. Nandor Hidegkuti (Ferdinand Kaltenbrunner) and Sandor Kocsis (Sandro Wagner) were actually germans too.
@zalan99893 жыл бұрын
they were not..... Sie waren ungarische Schwaben, die früher kommt zu Ungarn. You speak german, right?
@cmenomore81193 жыл бұрын
@@zalan9989 I am Banatgerman (family from romania and Voijvodina) by myself and I am german. No difference. You idolize them and you like them right so why you deny them? Why the need to take away from them what they were and being disrespectful against their identity and their families? I speak german yes but you don’t it’s difficult to understand what you mean.

@@Necks01 Bro the only one here spreading BS are you i just telling the truth. I understand very well (especially when I take a look at my own current national team) that for Hungarians it’s not that kind of cool feeling to find out that their biggest legends in football weren’t one of their own just some germans in a hungarian jersey but only because it hurts your feelings doesn’t make it less true. But i would never claim Mesut Özil being german. Puskas hadn’t only swabian ancestors he was swabian himself even your people called him the "Svab". Hidegkuti's real name was Kaltenbrunner it’s even just the simple translation to his original name. Hedig = Kalt Kut = Brunnen Use your brain... site 5 column 7 on the right side. www.ungarndeutsche.de/wp/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Madjarisierung-fremder-Familiennamen.pdf Sandor Koscic real name was Sandro Wagner his fathers name was Alexander "Schandi" Wagner. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldene_Elf#Mannschaft "Drei der Auswahlspieler waren donauschwäbischer Herkunft, deren Nachnamen magyarisiert wurden: Sandro Wagner als Sándor Kocsis, Ferdinand Kaltenbrunner als Nándor Hidegkuti und Franz Purzeld als Ferenc Puskás." Translation: "Three of the selected players were of Danube Swabian origin, whose surnames were Magyarized: Sandro Wagner as Sándor Kocsis, Ferdinand Kaltenbrunner as Nándor Hidegkuti and Franz Purzeld as Ferenc Puskás." de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sándor_Kocsis#Jugend "Kocsis entstammt einer deutschen Familie, deren Name von Wagner in Kocsis magyarisiert wurde." Sein Vater hieß mit Nachnamen noch Kaltenbrunner (ungarisch hideg ‚kalt‘ und ungarisch kút ‚Brunnen‘)." Translation: "Hidegkutis family was of german origin whose name was Magyarized. His father's last name was still Kaltenbrunner (Hungarian hideg 'cold' and Hungarian kút 'fountain')."

There are some inaccuracies... communist dictatorship, yes, but it seems like the rest of the world was 'free': Brazil was a military dictatorship when Pele was winning the world cups and Argentina was in the hand of the military in 1978: just when Argentina was winning with Holland, dissidents of the regime were tortured to death. All coups sponsored by the CIA. And Hungary in 1956 was not in a 'war', it was an uprising, them crushed by Soviet tanks.

CURIOSITY In that WC Puskás scored a correct; regular other goal in the 85.minute but the referree was unfair and did not premitted the goal If the referree premitted it we(Hungary) win the WC in the extension because Hungarian players stamina was the best in the world! In the group matches we defeated Germany(Hungary 8:3 Germany) So the germans paid for the referree to win the match this is really unfair!
