This is my favorite Camry Le because my mama had one for years when I was little. To better understand how great the gas mileage it gets. She only had to fill it up 5 times to drive from Oklahoma to Oregon! That is impressive 🙂 at least to me. As with any vehicle, maintenance is a bit pricey. This car isn't a sports car or anything fancy so maintenance is affordable. Mama makes 50k a year and I make 25k a year annually. She has a new Altima. 2022 I think but I still have my 03 Camry and I love it. My dream car is a 94 Toyota Supra but hey that's only a dream lol R.I.P Paul Walker 😭

Majority of Camry from 2003 to 2014, burnt oil in the 2.4z engine. Mine started back at 180,000 miles ago. I had the PCV changed and now it doesn't burn a lot of oil. I can get 850 miles on it before I add about 1/4 quart of oil. Synthetic is all I use. I just had to replace the center pipe and muffler. Her RPM on start up is running high, I guess I'll have to soon put in a new battery, the one I got is 6 yrs old. It's soon to go and it will be a Interstate. (the one I got in there now). So far, she has over 200,000 miles on it. As long as I take care of the car, it will take care of my needs. Paint and everything else looks like new. Seats are leather not clothe. Mechanic that works on my vehicle said my car the best looking one for it's age. Looks new and runs great! Air conditioner is original and still freezing cold.

All the problem is is that the valve seals are drying out. I had a 1989 Camry when I was a teenager that blue one puff of Blue Smoke out the tailpipe on the first start in the morning. King Toyota in Deerfield Beach told me that the blue smoke only in the morning was a sign of engine failure and would cost $2,000 to replace the engine. Skeptical I drove it over to Sears where the mechanic told me to add 1/4 cup of Marvel Mystery Oil every time I get an oil change and it will buy you some time. I literally drove that Camry an additional 200,000 miles before selling it to a relative who still drives it today. So try that. And by the way I think that my 2000 Camry with just over 453 K miles was by far the best generation of the Camry. It's not as quick but it's a lot smoother then later generations. It felt closer to it's cousin the Lexus ES then any of the other Generations. I hate that Toyota keeps trying to make the Camry sportier and sportier when that's not what made the Camry a Camry.

Compared to my country (The Netherlands in Europe) gas in the US is cheap. I converted the liters to gallons and euro to dollars which makes our price $ 8,75 a gallon!!

I'm really thinking of making my 03 Camry Le a sleeper. It's got 227,000 miles. I'm no car expert but I would think that if I rebuild the engine and transmission then it will be good to go, right? 😐 Idk

I have a low mileage 2002 LE V6 with only 80k. When I first bought it from the first owner which had a strong attachment to the car it only had 61k. I recently tried to sell it because I have a 19 Camry and I didn’t really need a second car, but I just couldn’t the car has grown on me too much haha. I was curious to see if any of you knew where I can find a manual transmission for the v6? The car mostly sits so I would like to have some fun with it.

When this car was brand new in 2003. In China the price was 70,000 USD. Which was 19 years ago. 19 years ago in China the average salary was about 250 USD per month. So this was a luxury car back in the days in China.

I owned a 2003 Camry LE V6 with a sunroof and alloy wheeler. Purchased brand new in 03 from a Toyota dealership. Mine was a great car too BUT I was never thrilled with its styling. Traded it in 2007 for a new Camry XLE V6. Now I own a 2019 Camry XLE V6; best Camry yet!

I have an 03 LE that has lights that flicker inside and outside and the radio cuts off when I turn on the turn signal I changed the alternator and the battery and I still have the problem and idk if it’s messing with staring the car either cause sometimes I have to crank it twice or three times to turn on can someone please help
@rt22552 жыл бұрын
Is radio factory? Anytime people upgrade stereos you run risk of crappy install. I suggest removing radio and checking connections even if stock if anyone went into dash they may have pulled something lose, also check battery terminals clean and tight and check battery ground cable is secure and clean where it attaches to frame or ground point

Interesting this is a beater but a new grand cherookee breaks at 40 miles, and still has the owner on the hook for over 100k, its wierd nomenclature the beaters are the new junk with screens that will be recycled into coke cans when this jem is still rolling 20 years from now.

@drivedb72 жыл бұрын
Super easy fix. There’s a rubber boot on the steering shaft that needs some lubricant. Silicone spray works best. Spray, turn the wheel left. Spray, turn the wheel right. Do this and the noise will be gone.
