Love my Estate Green Excursion! They look gorgeous. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the part number of the entire hose assembly!!! All the online catalogs just list the PCV valve itself. I wanted the whole enchilada. thanks again!

How did you determine the PCV valve was bad? I get a little white smoke when I first start up. Is that a symptom on a bad hose or PVC valve?
@evanbrown23855 жыл бұрын
Scott Carvin or bad valve seals, everyone say blue but that’s not necessary true with synthetic oils

@@evanbrown2385 Ford told me it was a leaky fuel injector.

Whats the part number you used to replace that pcv valve. I only find the traditional pcv valves
@brucewilliamson84553 жыл бұрын
Just got that same part number for my exact same 2000 v10 (even in Green!). It has a different fitting on the end, its an elbow, more like an s with a wider fitting on the end. Do I just remove that fitting and slide the hose on? Looks like the hose I'm replacing may not be the original as it appears to be collapsed where it bends into the valve itself. Hopefully someone sees this, its and older video!

Just changed mine but i removed one of the hoses connected to the PCV and coolant spurted out. Replaced coolant level, added some engine oil. ALSO, the new PCV wouldn't fit all the way in, like a fingernail s worth somi RTV'd around the PCV and boot😵💫

So what is that hose fitting size? 3/8?
@mattburke53565 жыл бұрын
question, on the wiring in the harness at the end of the video thats looks like a fuse relay connected to the intake. what is that for? my fuel mixture on my 6.8 is off and have replaced everything but the fuel pump and is still running like crap after 2k rpm and once in a while itll start popping at idle, but that wire i noticed on mine today is cut ...what exactly is that for? i tried grounding it out but it popped my ignition coil fuse
@HowtoAutomotive5 жыл бұрын
matt burke If you could tell me what minute and seconds on the video that you see the wire at. that will help me out. I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
@mattburke53565 жыл бұрын
2:57 theres a plasic connection for the wires
@mattburke53565 жыл бұрын
Just to the right of the hose that was replaced
@HowtoAutomotive5 жыл бұрын
matt burke I’m not sure what the wires going to. But I would definitely repair it. As far as your running lean condition I don’t believe that has anything to do with it. If it was a sensor you would have three wires or more. Sounds like to me you either a have low fuel pressure or have a massive vacuum leak or have a bad sensor such as a mass air.
@mattburke53565 жыл бұрын
Ive replaced the maf fuel filter ive checked for vacuum leaks and nothing. But when im driving i pretty much have too floor it to get her too go abd i get a really strong fuel smell, as if its dumping in too much fuel for it to burn properly

Too tight on the camera. And moving the camera makes for a mess you cant follow. If you want to make videos please use your camera like a still camera. And stay wide enough to see stuff
