Great video, even for slightly below average runners like myself. Running in the last decade has taken me to places that I would've never gone to. Plus, it just strengthens your body, mind, and soul.

Wow, did this speak to me. And I can see myself keeping it in the ol' back pocket as a reminder: There is so much to be grateful for in doing what we do! Amen, Brother Jason!

Awesome video Jason - really resonated with me and many of your key points I totally agree with. Focus on process, not outcome and the need for consistency. Having an attitude that you can attack any goal. I’ve also seen many of my running friends attack and overcome personal adversity (death, hardship, medical school, other stresses) by leaning on their running routines. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it either. Thanks for sharing !!

I am relatively new to running, well it all started kind of quietly around 10 years ago when I run my very first half marathon but it has developed more during the past 6 years. Before that I would just run 3-4months before my goal race and the rest of the year I was more into dragonboat but then things changed when my daughters born. Had to adapt and found in running a new passion, even though my wife sometimes disagree but is something that makes me feel happier and being able to have that much precious me time while on the road or the trails. I still discovering myself and learning, some runs better than others but trying to be consistent while enjoying the process. I hope to reflect in the same way like you did when another 10-15 years pass and find myself running while enjoying every outing. Cheers,

It’s the grind that I love the most! Discipline to do it while still enjoying every step. Grateful to have started this journey only 4 years ago so lots of miles left in these old legs 😅

If you think running a marathon makes you a better person, try running a sub-3 hour marathon in an Ironman. It gives you an even better perspective on who you are and what you can accomplish.

No race or time makes you into a better person. It just helps develop certain skills.
