@@catrybou123 This goes for literally every single religion. It's extremely ironic when people focus on Scientology as 'dangerous' and 'praying on people' when that's not unique to Scientology. I was raised by Scientologist parents, but I have since renounced the entire religion. The informational content of this video is very accurate, but the supplemental B-Shots are not, they're just way too 007 style. The language and vocabulary are obviously very different from how the Church of Scientology would describe itself, but every description of Scientology's actions (when taken literally) are truthful in their essence. While this video if stylized in the way KZbin prefers, it's core information is honest and truthful. I know it may be difficult to accept, but the vast majority of the of the world's population considers Scientology to be one of the more dangerous religions in the world. If you are considering leaving the religion of Scientology, I highly recommend it, as a survivor. My life has never been so understandable since I denounced Scientology, albeit, with some dark times.

He is a Scientologist? Oh...
@santibanks4 жыл бұрын
@@georgewilson7432 Chick is very deep in Scientology (I guess along with his wife Gayle Moran, known from Mahavishnu Orchestra). His band Return to Forever and it's song titles are all scientology references. The reason the classic quartet spit up was because Al and Lenny had enough of Scientology. Chick thanks Hubbard in every liner note of his albums. He actually made an album with Hubbard (though I never heard it) and called him "A true Renaissance man". Stanley Clarke left the church but is still a bit positive about it. Chick also created this studio called Mad Hatter Studio's in LA somewhere in the 80ies (a reference to Alice in Wonderland). He sold it to the Scientology church but sometimes still records there I think. There is actually a Chick Corea documentary on scientology tv. As far as I know, Chick is still active in scientology and feels like it helped him connect to his audience and finds his style and intrinsic motivation to play. To be fair, while my personal opinion is that it's all bogus and more like a pyramid scheme, I am convinced that it did inspire Chick to do the music he did.

I don't know how it is with other job positions at the German state but every time I worked as a tutor at my university, with a contract I also had to sign a 2 pager, that I am not connected in any way to Scientology, far left and far right. Makes the whole "religion" thing seem very different when even the state sees a danger for the educational system in scientology, comparable to far right/left.

So, you prefer youtube's ad revenue model, which runs on selling your privacy to whoever asks, so that they can better manipulate you with targeted advertisement, and only favours content that "they" (whoever that may be) deem to be "ad-friendly"?

Hey can you hurry up and put this on Nebula? I want to watch it ad-free. Why don't you upload the videos to both KZbin and Nebula at the same time, or Nebula first, because it is a paid service?

What's Nebula? Any good?
@tealmer35284 жыл бұрын
@@chr1staki Nebula is a service run by the Standard Network. (which includes HAI, Wendover Productions, Real Engineering, RealLifeLore, LegalEagle and 71 other educational KZbin creators) It provides ad-free access to all of their videos as well as some originals that they make, including but not limited to Grand Test Auto (exactly what it sounds like), Tom Scott's Money (game show with creators, including Sam from Wendover and HAI), and the Logistics of D-Day (by Real Engineering). It comes for free with a Curiosity Stream membership when you sign up at CuriosityStream.com/hai and use code "hai" at check out. 31 day free trial, then $12 for a year or $3 for a month. You get an email after you sign up to set up your Nebula account. You can also sign up for Nebula without a Curiosity Stream membership at watchnebula.com for $30/year, although I don't know why anyone would do that instead of through CuriosityStream. CuriosityStream is a streaming service for documentaries, and has thousands of them.
