The plot makes no sense, Abigale knew about the town Jennifer was in, she had the Marigold, she can wear people's skin... She wasn't smart enough to wear someone's skin who lived in the town and dump the Marigold, she gave them to get their powers back, all over Jennifer and start the cleanse. This season made me sad every episode and not for the right reasons.

​@@ScreaminMimizy But when they remember the "Jennifer Incident", it showed how Reggie immediately sh0t her and Ben in the head and life went on without any "Cleanse" or Durango infected people up until the very first episode (which is about 2019 since Ben died in 2006). So it can't be that someone else would have gotten infected. I assume so. Six years had passed since the events of season 3 so I guess they would have continue to live. I honestly thought they were going to go that route. From being the one who ends the world to finally being the one who saves it. Wish they had thought it through more, especially since they had 2 years to make it.

I hate that we ended with the sibling relationships right back at where they were in the very first episode. I hate that we followed Sparrow Ben so closely for the final season, when he’s not Our Ben, just a catalyst. I hate that they didn’t flesh out his character beyond being an asshole if we were gonna spend that much time with him, and they were gonna do a 6 year time jump. I hate that there was no chemistry between Bennifer. I hate that Five and Lila betrayed Diego, destroying Five’s character and making Diego’s storyline for season 3, and some of season 2, completely pointless. But mostly, I hate that we didn’t get to see Pogo.

The stuff with Klaus makes me ESPECIALLY angry after seeing the deleted scenes: you get to see Klaus go to rehab and admit to being a drug addict, flash forward to Klaus going three years without drugs. During the birthday scene, Five gets to have heart to heart with Klaus about it, congratulating him....only for all of that TO NOT MATTER BECAUSE KLAUS RELAPSES 😡😡😡😡

Ok, this season 4 was terrible, ok. But still I think there is a way to save the show if a season 5 is possible. Now imagine season 5: only one episode, 10 minutes, just Aidan Gallagher. The episode starts with Five on a sofa watching the ending of season 4. He started complaining about all the terrible choices they made for the show and sadly states "They ruined our show and there is nothing to about it", but then smiling "...or is it?". Now Five got closer to a wardrobe, he opens it and inside there is a suitacase. - Blue flashlights - Now Five is now in a room alone and he stands in front of a laptop. On the screen he can notice the file "Umbrella Academy - season 4 - script". He deletes it. - Blue flashlights - Now Five is on the sofa again and, looking at his tablet he read the news: "Netfilx decided to cancel season 4 of Umbrella Academy". He smiles. Pogo's voice: "And that's how Five saved the universe from something much worse than the end of the world" THE END

i feel like nobody talks about how much viktors powers have been dumbed down throughout the seasons. in season 1 he was draining peoples life force, aerokinesis, atmokinesis, pure energy creation, sound amplification, matter manipulation, sound manipulation, concussive blasts, etc in season two he was flying and creating force fields and in season 3 we saw he can amp the power of people with marigold but in season 4 all we see are hand-laser blasts and him pushing energy out of his body. his power is nothing like it was before they 100% didnt know what to do with his character if he wasnt the one accidentally setting a chain of events that led to the end of the world or if he didnt end it himself

I actually liked Viktor having his little “heartbreaker” thing mentioned bc it felt to me that it wasn’t an intentional thing in the sense that he was just trying to find love/connections with women but hadn’t grown enough emotionally to keep a girl and not hurt her. The most recent one was because the timeliness were collapsing because there is a void that keeps them apart. Reginald resetting the universe destroyed the void (Hotel Obsidian) and that is why the timeliness are starting to collapse. Great video!

Another thing that bugged me immediately and one of the first signs that told me this season was gonna be a shitshow was that Viktor and everyone else were so protective of Ben and didn’t want to kill him “because he is family” when asshole Ben literally said in the first episode “ My family are the Sparrows, which you guys killed, you are not my family” This Ben has nothing to do with ghost Ben from the first two seasons, he is not part of their family, they didn’t grow up togheter, it makes no sense for them to consider him part of the family

I like the idea of needing the Umbrella Academy to die in order to stop the never-ending string of apocalypses the seem to bring along with them wherever they go, but I don't think they executed it properly. This season sucked. The writing is TERRIBLEEEE. They butchered Klaus's character, they made Luther part ape again which didn't make any sense whatsoever, Ben is boooooriiiinngggg and the whole Five and Lila romance... yikes.

i watched all from S1-3 and I always thought that it was all flash and weak substance. I didnt mind cause the flash was quite good. Once you remove that though you are left with quite weird and underwhelming relationship dynamics. Never understood why they didnt show the kids as kids more. I like what you said about Viktor because in this season his personality always seemed out of character, but not in a “self growth and character development” kinda way, just a “ this person has a completely different personality compared to the previous 3 seasons we have seen him in”. Something that will never be explained is how the fuck Reginald new there was going to be an apocalypse or how time travel was dangerous! The man killed himself to bring the umbrellas together to stop the apocalypse for what reason? His motivation could have been to be with Abigail because killing yourself doesn't bring your wife back from the dead. If he's dead then what was the reason behind hotel oblivion? Nothing. Season 3 and 4 had no idea what to do with the show and derailed everything that was built up in season 1 and 2. But it also makes no sense! Why would OG reg kill himself if his main motivation is to reset the timeline. He didn't adopt the kids to sacrifice them, but to save the world! A show with two amazing seasons and so much potential slaughtered by shit writers with no sense of creativity, cohesiveness or integrity.

The worst part about this - is The Umbrella Academy had it's voice with its quirky family dynamics, dysfunction, growth and fun action scenes. The CIA fight scene was trying too hard. There was no reason for Luther or Diego to have their clothes ripped off - it was like they were trying TOO hard to make it quirky. The other fight scenes werent Umbrella Academy. They were either trying to go for Stranger Things, or even worse, The Boys. The eye laser, the gore, the ball-busting scenes were just so clearly a "Well The Boys does this, so maybe we should to?"" Cuz "Just S4 things!" lol
