Love this!! "Our need to be in connection is fundamental to our survival, but our need to be authentic isn't." It explains so much about the choices we make in how we show up in the world.

I dunno, it is filled with self blame and toxic shaming and self pathologizing oneself. There is a lot of CBT Dispositional Attribution and none of Situational Attribution (toxic people, shame culture countries, lack of money) No psychological health is possible unless this essential care of the person is fundamentally accepted, loved and respected by others and by himself. @@ranc1977I think it’s more about identifying these thought problems, being vulnerable to share, and the step into growth she is taking. Your comment, in my opinion, is the exact reason people feel the need to stay quiet and question themselves. I feel like she’s trying to tell her story and share what she has learned and you’re saying it’s wrong, no?

😂…. Some circles are where I can be myself… other circles I pretty much say nothing. In the circles where I can’t be myself… not silencing myself means being ostracized. So… yeah… I’m frustrated and annoyed.
