How Sonic Music Got Me Into Metal!

Tony Hawk Skater Pro 2 & 4 got me into punk and rock. A lot of what Kurt listened to is how I really got into metal

For me it was Devil May Cry that go me back into Metal music I'd dabbled a bit with bands like Sabaton and Powerwolf, but DMC got me really deep into music telling a story courtesy of Bury the Light and Devil Trigger. Some of the mid 2000s Sonic songs like Knight of the Wind and Endless possibility got me to drift towards some more optimistic songs for going on runs or long bike rides. The Frontiers boss themes also made for incredible gym music. Currently my favorite band is Freedom Call because they're consistently optimistic and I like their music style. If you're remotely interested in Power Metal give them a listen starting with either Crystal Empire or Beyond as both are very good albums.

@@GrimdarkCrusader20th I'm a runner too so Sonic songs come up sometimes lol. Maybe I'll give Freedom Call a go. I've never really thought too much about Power Metal. At the end of the year I plan to make a video rank every album of the year so guess we'll see what happens lol.
