I've played bioshock infinite and it feels like it's a tightly patched game, they made the game look and feel like movie (similar to uncharted, last of us) but with a lot of action which must be completed at all cost in order to progress further, as a result there's a lot of unskippable cutscenes. Trying to speedrun this game would drive people nuts.

6:22 Actually, the game doesn't force you to lose this encounter. The Big Sister flees when either your or her health gets below a certain percentage, or a set amount of time has passed. The speedrun tactic here is actually more clever than it appears, because it's faster to remove the player's health than to fulfil the other two conditions.
