Love SCP, wrote a couple over the years and was very excited when Control came out. It's not quite as diverse, obscure, or otherwise unsettling as SCPs can be, but the Hiss is a terrifying villain and the vibes are off the charts for the entire runtime. It's an easy recommendation for any fan of this type of horror.

I personally think the Hiss draws a bit of inspiration from 3125, one of my personal favorites. And the fridge is a huge 173 reference, of course.

That Maze part of the game was such a well-designed crescendo. By that time, you know how to play, and you get to unleash absolute devastation against all those mooks, it's great in accentuating just how far you (and Jesse) have come. The weird shit is no longer scary, you thrive on it.

For the photo sensitivity tones, it may be a good idea to have the beginning and end tone sound slightly different (maybe ending tone pitched down a bit or something). Some of the segments in this run came back to back so it made it a little hard to tell which was a beginning tone and a ending tone as I wasn't looking at the screen.

penetration resolution sounds more like a speedrunning trick than a developer term, ie "the penetration resolution is the resolution at which you can clip through certain objects or walls, which we use to skip this ten minute cutscene"
