In this SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED, we return to the world From Software created and break down an Any% speedrun of Dark Souls II, by world record holder Stennis. This run is on patch 1.02 and features a couple game-breaking glitches and exploits that allow Stennis to beat the game in under 15 minutes. Included in this run is a glitch that allows you to duplicate items, leading to the potential for infinite souls without farming.

You forgot to mention that unlike all of the other Souls games, Dark Souls 2 is the only game that doesn't give you invinsibility frames when you open doors and the enimies don't return to their spawn location whenever you quit out to the main menu.

Might have something to do with Roll speed and how Binos lock you at a specific move speed. Could be that it mistakingly locks you at roll speed, even if you aren't rolling. Instead of you know, the forced walk speed when you're using binos. ^ this is all probably wrong but hey, that's my guess.

Moooost games will cap your forward velocity (lookin @ u super mario 64, note that I said FORWARD velocity lmao) but if it’s also setting a lower AND an upper limit of essentially the same number, that is entirely possible. Thus locking you into the roll velocity that you substitute for the walk velocity before the game has time to update that you have left the “using binoculars” state.

I was falling asleep to this when 28:32 came by and I had to take a double take and go back a few times to listen to it. Never expected to hear those words out of a dark souls video I was trying to fall asleep to, but I was going through a heavily emotional and traumatic period as of late and it helped.
