Someone online said something that blew my mind. What if the casino side quest of them looking for the Code Breaker was actually leading them to Lando, who had code breaking knowledge...it would have blown my mind if that actually happened. It would have made the sidequest a lot more better.

This actually showed me how ridiculous it would be if Rey's grandparent is Obi-Wan. Just seems like overkill to me that EVERYBODY has to be related to the previous characters. The door opening and getting sucked into space is a good point though lol.

I feel like the fights between Rey and Kylo have been pretty much stalemates so far. I'd have to look at Episode 7 again because it's been a while. Even though I'm not sure if I want it I'll bet that there's more to Rey's parents than is currently being let on. Honestly, though, I feel like neither one of these new Jedi (Kylo or Rey) would be able to stand up to Vader/Anakin or Luke or Yoda or Obi-Wan, they just seem so amateur by comparison.

There is a huge flaw that people who say they like "the last Jedi' are missing. It is the loyalty to the Saga that allows you to not say the movie was terrible. Seeing the major and obvious flaws is easy. I am a fan of the Saga but for EPs 8and 9: Story was terrible, character build was pitiful, character development was lazy, and they have nothing to lead to a good conclusion.

Not only that, Rose's sister was bathing in pure vacuum for the entire scene. The bombs indeed somehow dropped as fast as normal bombs would and not as fast as they would if they were magnetic. Even if they were magnetic, what's stopping them from attaching to the bomber ship (anti magnetic coating, presumably, but why wouldn't all First Order ships have that just in case of bomber ships, seeing as how effective they are)? Anyhow, torpedoes would have been more effective and less costly to use than a squadron of bombers protected by fighters who all die. Torpedoes are faster, can target certain locations with far more accuracy and they could've had the same explosive power as the bombs used. New Star Wars makes no sense. When ships get destroyed in the middle of space, they fall down, like what? And it's irritating that the story and the characters make even less sense than the physics. "Hey we're doing new Star Wars, any ideas?" "I know, let's kill of all the old characters, some of which without any explanation or closure, and insert divisive political opinions in every decision!" "Sounds great, let's go."

I have this theory that space in the Star Wars universe is not actually hard vacuum. That's why you can hear things and ships move he way they do (like they're in atmosphere). There are plenty of other examples to support this.

I did like TLJ, but I do wish Ackbar had been the one to sacrifice himself. I get the whole "New generation taking over", but I feel like it would keep better with that theme if Holdo, maybe a second in command, or aide to Ackbar, survived, while Ackbar, the older generations, sacrificed himself. How he did go out just felt like an anticlimax

They actually wouldn't have been sucked out. I thought so, too, the first time I saw it. But after watching TLJ more times than I can count, you can see there's a doorway she enters. It's not unbelievable that she would activate the door, either by force power or maybe it's motion sensitive, in order to re-pressurize the room before they reach her. Everything else in the hishe video I love. And your reactions are always so fun. :)

You do realise that the ship isn't stationary, right? Leia had just commanded Ackbar to go 'full engines'. So if the ship is going at a reasonable speed, how did she return to the ship once blasted out of it? Are you telling me she floated towards the ship at the same speed as the ship itself was moving? What slowed her down once she was blasted out into space? there is no resistance/air/gravity in space, she should have just kept on floating further and further away. The whole scene is ridiculous, this scene is not worth defending.

Leon M I wasn't actually defending the force flying, I was defending the presence of an air lock door that would have prevented them from being sucked out into space. I like the idea of the scene, but agree that the execution was not good. And the whole Leia Poppins of it all looks ridiculous on the screen, and takes me out of the movie.

If you just rewatch the movie scene with Leia rescued from open space, you should notice that there is a second portal, having an energy shield, that functions as a decompression chamber second door ( the portal is bordered by a red band). So, no plot hole at all. Tell the "should have ended" people that this gag is hilarious, but incorrect.
