Man I loved this video! Jillian I’ve had your videos since before my children. After I had my two boys I used the knowledge I gained from watching you to take the weight off. I dropped the 30 lbs I gained with both within 3 months and back in the higher end of my ideal body weight. I was back in size 2-4 within 5 months. I am also a huge nutrition student and take a lot of Shaklee supplements but I’ve maintained my weight all these years. I’m 48 and I have a 16 and 10 to ild boys ❤️Listening to your encouragement to do what you love is springing joy towards health coaching. Thank you for your authenticity and grit! I just love you! I’d love to get your take on a good hip rehab routine. Because I have a genetic challenge in how I’m built I just had my second hip labrum repair. I’m not bending my hip past 90 degrees right now except to tie my shoes. I’ve got several I’m doing as well as 2-3 times a day of stationary bike. He’s saying that’s my therapy but Im well into my third month of rehab and I’m doing carefully thought through perfect form donkey leg circles. Any additional ideas are greatly appreciated!!

amazing that you are becoming more fit! but yes please be careful. overuse injuries are common when we get excited so just keep an eye on it but keep at it 😉

Always ease into training, if it hurts don’t do it. There is always another way to train a muscle group without pain. Also avoid impact exercises 99% of the time too. Unless sports specific, it’s just not worth the trade off.

Thank you for this video. It's certainly a question that has crossed my mind lately. Do you often find people tend to prefer cardio or weights? I am realizing that I feel nervous about cardio and confident with a good weight session. My cousin is the opposite of me--loves the cardio and not the weights. Is the solution to consider I am more of a beginner at cardio and thus start slow and increase the intensity of my sessions slowly? Would love to know more and whether you find this imbalance common.

@Jillian Michaels What if it’s the Beginner 30 day Shred video. I did it befor & then other workouts but got off track. Anyway I went back to Beginner Shred 22 days ago & it doesn’t say anything about a break day. Anyway the past week I added some other workouts targeting hips & glutes mostly. Yesterday I worked out super hard yesterday & woke up this morning with major pain in both hips & glutes but worse on the right side. I decided to stretch, that helped a little. I then put on some Icy Hot & noticed I can feel knots on my right hip & a bulged area at the top of my glute. I am 42, way over weight & need to keep going. What should I do & should I take break days?

Yes...I prefer the machines.I have actually injured myself with free weights as when I try go heavier my form changes as they are too heavy but I still do it.silly move! So machines are better for me x

Is it 80% diet or 80% exercise? And how many grams of protein do you intake when dieting? Do you RAISE it or LOWER it.. And uh burpees are impossible after age 58. There is no beginner modality it is so jarring!
