btw, this is a LN spoiler regarding the girl at 1:21. the girl's identity is velgrynd who went on many worlds and eras to gather rudra/masyuki's soul fragments, and masayuki just happened to be the last she had to search for, so yeah, her being there is no coincidence, also it was his soul fragments returning to him that sent him to that world, albeit with the rudra memories sealed and only with the skill and status the other rudra had lost.

I sorta feel bad for Masayuki. He's basically a passenger in his own life. With his skill, that he can't control, in the drivers seat. His life is not his own to live. His choices are not his own. But manipulated by chosen one. I wonder how Rimuru is going to handle this. Because Rimuru doesn't want the world to see him as a villain he's not going to go to war with humanities hero. While Rimuru could likely kill Masayuki pretty easily since he's immune to chosen one. Rimuru is not dumb enough to do it. People need their hero's. It's the same reason he was willing to tell everyone that his fight with Hinata ended in a tie. He didn't want to diminish Hinata's reputation. He will have the same thought process with Masayuki. I wonder if Rimuru could help him control chosen one. So he can live his life instead of being a passenger.

What makes Masayuki’s skill so intriguing is its ethical implications. Can you truly call it heroism or should it be brainwashing or predetermination? The world will literally make people act completely out of character for you to be celebrated as a hero. Can you TRULY call that genuine heroism if you need to warp reality for it to occur? Also, since he can’t turn it off, it means that if he ever wanted a lover or partner, it would have to be someone who is strong enough to be unaffected by his skill. Otherwise, any feelings they might have for him or any positive impressions would be built on a lie. Yeah sure, his power doesn’t directly sexually charm them, but any positive impressions they have about his character that MADE them fall in love with him would be false. In other words, while the skill sounds cool, it would actually be miserable because all your efforts and all your actions are not your achievements to begin with. Your personality and who you are is not what leaves a positive impression on people, but instead it’s who THEY THINK you are. You are literally negatively affecting others by brainwashing them and negatively affecting yourself by stripping your life of any real, genuine social relationships (maybe except those unaffected by your skill). The world LITERALLY bends itself to your will. Your efforts are not carving a legacy on the world. The world is carving the legacy FOR you. It makes one question the concept of effort. How important is such a concept for humanity? If our deepest fantasies were to truly come true without having to put in any work or effort at all, could we be truly be satisfied? Masayuki’s character has the potential to be really in depth and full of challenges if the writers care enough about him.

Masayuki was brought to the world by Velgrynd who is the blue haired woman that he sees. Velgrynd is Veldora sister. Reason why she did it is because Masayuki is the reincarnation of her former lover. Masayuki skill really isn’t all that powerful and Gobta would have beaten him if it wasn’t for the fact that Gobta is a fool. Masayuki right now is a weak but don’t get me wrong in the future of the light novels he is a power house. Right now he is only a small fragment of what his potential can and will be.

I know that the anime in question can't include every last detail that is in the light novel, as that would be too unrealistic and likely a waste of resouces.
