In the game Ainz, as a player, was nowhere near the strongest or even one of the strongest. He was probably around medium-high tier. With all his items he's definitely higher, but in terms of raw power Ainz just isn't that strong, but he's strategic enough to win fights against people stronger than him. However his friend Touch Me, who created Sebas, was actually one of the strongest and Ainz was never able to beat him in a duel. Ulbert, the guy who created Demiurge, is also stronger than Ainz. If you ask who could beat Ainz's guild in Ygdrassil, theirs wasn't the top one but at its peak they were in the top ten so pretty damn strong.

9:43 . Season 2 eps 10 if i am not wrong. Where Ainz talk to Sebas about Tsuare. At that point Sebas is still the leader of Pleades. Until Ainz agree about Tsuare to be part of Nazarick and will be under Sebas. That Ainz said "Sebas will get down from the position of the Leader Pleades. Aureole Omega the seven and the youngest of the Pleades will replace that place"

At its peak in the Yggdrasil game, Ainz Ooal Gown-The guild not our favorite overlord-was ranked about 9th place in terms of guild power. I think a lot of that is also due to the amount of world items they had, but also because their guild base was so difficult to raid.
