I don't think it's a matter of just strength, Asta negates magic, he can't negate skill. If he's fighting some like Lucifer or the fused devil's they tend to rely on overwhelming people with their magic but fight simplistically

While I do like the idea of it JUST Being Asta being Trained, I ALSO Wonder whether or Not Asta ALONE Can be sent ANYWHERE without Liebe functionally Showing up their NEARLY Automatically... Cause I also Suspect that Astaroth was killed and Reincarnated in a form where Bifurcation of Souls occured and so His Magick was only HALF Stolen so that the Stronger Devil Magic Base Magic of Time Magic was stolen and because of whatever Means used Asta's birth is the Reincarnation of Astaroth's Devil Half with No Magic in a Human Body and the Other Half Sent to Hell... So then He and Libe are literally the Same Person Split in Half with one half having stuff Stolen from them... which Maybe Astaroth did it themselves whilst One of their Contractors used Soul Magic to Rewrite them to Give them their own Magic Entirely and Die or something... which... @@1dfr33ause it doesn’t actually makes sense, seeing the evolution of all those characters over such a long time, just for another character who isn’t even a god or demon king or anything just massively outscale them is weird, how did no one on the clover kingdom manage to get even close to her level ? Also, in real life there isn’t always someone better or stronger than you, that usually just applies to regular people, and when someone surpasses the top ones it’s usually a gradual evolution. She is also not even the strongest on the land of the sun, you would expect some consistency between the power level of the two continents

We ONLY focus on one set of characters, there really isn't a way to show all the power increases of every character. Everything Asta done upscale her since she's faster and stronger than him was shown last chapter and Asta preforming better against her in the rematch just would mean Asta gotten stronger and faster, and she still had the upper hand. So by this she should beat characters like hypothetical 100% Lucifero or even base Lucius but narratively should be below Lucius Definitely top 3-5 power wise

I have two contentions 1. The whole durability point. Ichika punching Asta is a attack potency feat not durability. Just because her hand doesn’t break doesn’t mean she scale to Asta durability. Many times in anime like DBZ do weaker characters attack characters far stronger and they don’t break. 2. Ichika pulling Asta with gravity doesn’t mean she’s scales to Lucifero. Asta was simply caught off guard. If you know an attack is coming and how it coming. You can more easily brace/resist the attack. Same way if someone was to punch your abs when you know and don’t know. The difference in effect is obvious as you can set up the necessary defences. If Asta knew it’s likely he’d resist it too

I feel like she is gonna suffer from the worf effect where she is introduced as this stupidly powerful character just to get clapped by luscious or another main villain so Asta can show his power up for the final battle against the 100% supreme devils or luscious. If Asta gets beat again by Lucious or any of the other main villains after losing once badly and damn near 3 times to ichika its going to make him look pretty pathetic by only taking l’s for an entire arc. This wouldn’t be that bad if he only lost to ichika once but getting beat repeatedly on top of losing to lucious puts him in a position where his character needs a win. An example of this was the last arc of one piece where luffy lost to kaido damn near 4 times before actually beating him and that was good, but the problem here is that there was no build up for ichika, she is literally only that strong because the plot demands that she be stronger than Asta to act as his foil for this arc. Kaido was one of the yonko and was shown to be able to one shot the verses top tiers and he stayed at that position so the audience could pretty easily accept luffy losing while ichika rag dolling Asta with no magic just Zetin just seems like a cop out for the plot to move forward. If your confused on what I mean by the “Plot demands that she be stronger” think damn near every time one of the big 3 protagonists had a big fight where their opponent was stronger: Ichigo can’t beat Byakuya? Hollow ichigo interrupts and wounds him enough to win in base. Naruto can’t beat pain? He goes 6 tails and rag dolls him enough to win in base. Luffy can’t beat Katakuri? Gear 4 snake man + future sight. These can be written well with certain conditions to abilities or characters being as strong as they are but to make a random character as strong as your protagonist in a land where the only describing trait is peace is just hard to believe unless a devil or something else is involved to make her stronger ( darkness devil theories ) 3. Watch the video where Broku specifically goes over why this dose not matter if your strong enough physically.

That's all of Ichika's power because as far as we know the samurai (the one that Ichika is) are obsessed with honor she wanted to kill Asta to good this time and when you're nervous you can't hold back and that she's not obsessed with honor remember that she wanted to put her sword in her chest just because she was about to hurt Ryuya. And something again Lucius the guy who can control time knew exactly what was going to happen even though there are thousands of possibilities for the future and yet he was lucky that Asta beat Lucifero on the first try out of thousands of futures from that alone you can tell that Lucius helped him and probably that Lucifero couldn't use even 1% of that 50 percent until the end of the fight because of Lucius (and if you forgot I remind you that Lucius himself said that there are thousands of possible futures )

Speaking of grimoires and spells I really wondering things like How many spells does one get when they first get their grimoire, Characters who are Hybrids like Charmy you they likely to have Twice the amount of normal humans, What's the average number of spells does people who are part of the Magic Knights or Spirit Guardians, Have much does more spells can you get after learning Mana Zone or Mana Method, How many spells does someone get when they first get a Spirit or Devil, If someone lost their Devil or Spirit either if it was temporarily would their grimoire still have the spells from the Spirit or Devil's magic Ex Loro-chan still having Ludic Sanctuary either tho it using Mana Method and Mana Zone too, If someone learns Mana Method or Mana Zone and using with a Spell they are learn Ex Noelle's first new spell Sea Dragon's Nest does the grimoire write a completely new spell for it on new pages or does it just change/rewrite the pages that spell was first written on it etc...?

Asta, usually hesitates in training fights besides wasn't he thinking of how to master zetten? They were both apars together she was just a little bit faster. Besides, I bet as you know he could have cancelled her magic immediately, but what I said he somehow get debuffed in a training fight. Furthermore, she had more experience using zetten. I can bet on if asta semi-mastered zetten against a woman with a complete master zetten asta zentten would have more potency in his attacks you have to look at the concept of their magic too. Besides Asta's power source is different he rarely had no guide to teach him. It has already been proven that asta actually has more potential than ichika and Yami and maybe Ryu.

You're scaling characters by their feats like this is Dragon Ball where the only things that matter are strength and skill. The argument "x beat y and y beat z, so x must be stronger than z" cannot be applied in Black Clover, since BC is more about match ups and circumstances of battle. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if you said that Magna is stronger than devil arm Asta and that Patry is stronger than Julius, since that seems the logic you're using (or lack thereof). I mean Tabata has stated in an interview that he grew exclusively consuming shounen content and that kind of content (DBZ, Naruto, Bleach, etc) has tons of these moments where the chars are suddenly ridiculously powerful or pull some crazy feats that aren't meant to be consistent or have any logic (for example in DBZ Saiyan Saga chars are already capable of destroying planets without much effort but characters thousands of times stronger later on the story throw attacks without destroying planets like they were mud balls) but are there because they are cool, badass and the writer is using a powerful resource that it's EXTREMELY everpresent in Shounen manga: suspension of disbelief. It's not like Asta's base form in the brink of death was capable of standing (when 20 seconds before a much healthier base Asta was only capable of not being crushed in the same spell) and walking in Loosifero's POTDK but Tabata thought it was cool and is making use of the aforementioned literary resource. But tbh I think trying to keep any kind of powerscaling after the elf arc is a futile effort since chars out of nowhere keep becoming dozens of times stronger in ridiculously minuscule time lapses (Yuno scales to 100% Zenon in 3 days when before that he was completely humilliated by 50% Zenon) so trying to make heads or tails of what Tabata is working on is like catching the air with your hands.

i still think that full power luficero with his full body and full magical power is above ichika and base lucius whether lucifero has a grimoire or not. 1. lucifero had only his half physical strength when he fought asta and crew, meaning even in the fight with lucius he only had that. his full physical strength without magic or anything was half. 2. lucifero had also half(50%) of his magic power, and we saw that even 1% of a devil could change things 50% of his magic power was not there. 3. if we take in his 100% full physical strength without any magic he would be atleast 2 times stronger that the lucifero who fight asta and the crew though i think he would be much stronger cz even 1% addition works different when it comes to devil powers in black clover. 4. if we take in his 100% full magic power, he would be more than 2 times stronger than the one asta and the crew fought. 5. so if you were to take full power lucifero with his physical strength and magical power, he would be atleast minimum 4 times stronger than the one lucius fought but i still think he would be stronger than that, given how increase in percentage works. 6. i don't think lucius having 100% lucifero magical powers gives him his physical strength that lucifero has with his body only even that angel like form of his. i think it gives him only his magical power not his physical strength which is also something that also sets apart lucifero. i still think you can't clearly power scale luficero though. may be you can scale 100% lucifero properly and then after compare him these new characters

Hence asta would be neutralizing the time limit by extending it. Secondly you said the narrator was wrong because it said the anti magic was only covering one part of asta when it actually covers all of asta. This was wrong because the narrator didn’t say the anti magic only covered part of asta it said the devil union only covered part of asta and the discharge meaning the release of anti magic was only through one part of asta. You also said the orbs were part of devil union and that isn’t necessarily true. If the narrator is saying that the armor itself is devil union and the orbs are there whether it’s partial DU or not all that means is that the anti magic orbs are a byproduct of devil union but not necessarily part of the form itself. I way to think about partial devil union and why it’s stronger is if you think about a hose if you put more pressure on the nozzle the stream itself is denser and stronger which is what I believe for tabata to be alluding to with partial devil union

Your durability logic is not 100% wrong, but it is flawed. Taking a hit from something takes more durability vs hitting the same thing. You do need at least relative durability to steel to dent or break it with a punch. But if a ball of steel is flying at you not only do you need to have have the same durability as steel, but additional durability to stop the force at which the steel ball is flying at you. Or you can cancel out or overpower the force with equal or more force if your durability is relative to the steel ball.

The logic isn’t flawed when used in a a supernatural battle with super humans using reinforcement magic. If she punches Asta, and her hand doesn’t break, that means she has relative durabilty to her own strike. Her strike could damage Asta, thus her durabiltly scales to that. I understand the steel ball example, I just don’t think it necessarily applies to this. It would be different if she punched Asta and he tanked it. Becuase then all she would scale to is herself and below Asta. Though I agree it works in a real world sense.

It does make sense because its been 15 months. Asta grows in power rapidly. If you look at how much stronger he got in 6 months, and compare that to a 15 month timeskip, then narratively it would make sense for him to have surpassed Lucifero with lesser forms. And Ichika scales to him.

Calm down, bud. It’s a more logically supported interpretation. “Devil Union” = when he fuses with Liebe. He has two forms of it. The partial and regular. Both are called “Devil Union” in verse. This means it already has an unweighted 50% chance to be the regular Union. But, the context of the scene and what Asta says is that Asta is admitting that he is inferior to Ichika even if he went all out. “Amazing. With this it wouldn’t have even mattered if we used Devil Union or not. What insane strength.” It would be more simple to assume he was referring to his regular Union, his strongest form, especially since he is referring to the hit he just took. And Union covers his entire body with AM armor. So via preponderance of evidence, He was likely referring to His regular DU and not partial. Also, power scaling isn’t about 100% proof. You may be using the word colloquially as “evidence”. But In power scaling you don’t need proof, just preponderance of evidence.

Yes, due to the fact that the partial and normal DU are both referred to as "Devil Union" there is a 50% chance that it could be referring to either of them however, this probability changes when you consider the reason why Asta is using the partial form, it's due to the time limit and as of right now Asta has no real way to get around that outside of partial usage. As of right now he's already found as solution and doesn't even consider increasing the time limit of normal DU as a means of getting stronger to fight Lucius (the guy who just one shot him) this is why he was so deperate when he discovered zetten. This statement also gets contradicted later on when he uses the partial DU and is equal to a stronger Ichika (which he states himself) despite this because he wasn't able to perform a "perfect zetten" he referred to it as "a complete loss" which isn't the case at all. This is likely what happened when he made the statement about DU as well especially since Asta was actually relative to Ichika in his Black form. His words have a lot more nuance that's it.

Black clover went downhill since the elf arc. The power progression is shit. Sure Ichika can body Lucifero, but she shouldn't. I don't care if it's a shonen battle series or whatever, it's really bad. The only decent thing about Lucifero was his great power, but this current arc has managed to undermine and make him look like a weakling in an instant. The spade saga started off strong but quickly became some fairly tail nonsense (even worse imo), and the long anticipated Lucifero literally came out of nowhere to try and save the arc, but he was so trash! Didn't even have a character. Remember when the villains were actually interesting and devils were almighty and intimidating like they should be? Good times. Now it's just bad. Black clover, my favorite shonen has sadly become trash. Damn it.

Just because she took on an asta who is much stronger after the 15 month ts doesn’t mean she’s stronger than lucifero. Asta uses anti magic which is kinda hax with his tdu being able to completely erase magic. Lucifero has gravity strong enough to warp concepts such as fate, time and space. Ichikas yoryoku hasn’t been shown to affect concepts so lucifero should body her as his magic would just overwhelm her and ichika can’t erase it as she doesn’t have anti magic. She might be able to hold up for a bit in the fight and could probably take 50% lucifero but 100%, just no 😅. No magic type is above luciferos hence why he is the king of the underworld. Only anti magic is above it and ichika doesn’t use it.

I mean that is how it is supposed to be, but the writing is whack and implies what he described in the video. This would be the same situation of some random Sternritter displayed greater feats then Aizen. It makes no sense, but alas, here we are.

She has only shown some sort of gravity manipulation with black star but lucifero would just overwhelm her with magic. Your not gonna tell me a guy at half power who was using gravity on an entire country cant solo ichika at 100% when he is literally stated by the author to be able to destroy the world. Asta only won against lucifero cause of help and and his anti magic. In a 1v1 at full power, lucifero wins as he has the strongest and most powerful magic type and is backed up by statements in the story. If lucifero was able to blitz captains at 40%, his full power would be overkill for the verse. Only asta has a chance due to his anti magic. Ichika ain’t winning it and you have to be delusional to think otherwise

@@apindakut you trying to make it seem like asta getting beat by her is a fluke or something the ryuzenn are master's of ki aren't they and zetten that's makes them scale above people in the clover kingdom they are masters of ki how do you think asta's not able to negate all her magic she is a master of ki even yami hasn't mastered that and he's the strongest captain of course she would be wiping the the floor with asta their techniques they use in the land of the rising sun don't rely all on magic she even mentioned a sword style she's a much more skilled fighter than him it makes sense especially she's yami sister think about how strong yami is and he didn't get to learn all those things she learned because he left she's mastered ki and zetten 2 things his captain hasn't done stop thinking asta can just anti magic his way out of everything he needs to learn actually skill if not for libe dude would be dogwater 100 percent
