Kinda wish the new donk city people were cartoony like Mario and even Pauline tbh which she is besides her height. I wouldn’t mind if Mario’s origins from Brooklyn was retconned in this game to be always newdonk city.

26:55 I'm pretty sure Hanafuda Cards are mentioned in the Broshoure. Though personally, it's a mixed opportunity to have this kingdom also produce Checkpoint Flags - that would have explained why they always have Bowser's design. 😂

Well while based on a real location it is an amalgamation in the case of the Cascade Kingdom. The Cascade Kingdom concept art probably is showing Noshis and that one Pterodactyl from Dino Dino Jungle. I think the Chincho might be based on the Chinchorro Mummies. I don't think the Bowser Kingdom is the Koopa Kingdom but rather somewhere Bowser conquered.

Yeah, Chichen Itza isn't in Colombia, those ruins are in México!
