Not only do you not get paid if you win, you have to PAY to enter most regular competitions, that amount is usually somewhere in the region of over £100, as someone that spent a long time in the B-Boy scene, that's unheard of, there was always some prize money even if it was 100 quid at a tiny event of 50 people and the most it might cost you was a 50% entry fee to the event of 5 quid. BJJ is scuffed when it comes to their competitions.

I had never watched a BJJ match until yesterday when I watched the CGI stream. I really liked it tbh, although that "pulling guard" move is kinda BS if you ask me (someone who does not know sht), but other than that it was pretty fun (particularly Nicky Rodriguez and the two pairs of brothers). Craig is hilarious too. Also, James was looking huge in the few shots he showed up, just saying 🤣 I wonder if he did a shoulder+arms specialization for the last meso or something
