Cardio is a good tool at the beginning of a weight loss journey. Builds endurance, good for your muscles, breathing etc etc but using cardio alone during the middle stage of weight loss journey will get you no where. Yes you’re training a better lifestyle but fat loss alone, it’s not doing much. Most people step up their cardio and end getting injured or just burning out and resulting to the dark side (bad diet choices). The end of the day everything good you do cardio or weight training is great for health and weight loss. It’s just being consistent and knowing your body. Don’t be so strict, don’t try to do it in 3 months. Just take your time and enjoy healthy nutritious food and feel better that’s the most important aspect.

Been lifting weights for 20 years. Got bored as fuck ages ago. I’m 36 now and I do boxing or Muay Thai 3-4 days a week then train upper and lower on wknds. Perfecting fighting skills while keeping fit, staying strong and keeping in good shape ticks all the boxes without getting bored.

I started BJJ a few months ago, and I’m really enjoying it. The only thing that annoys me is that after an evening class, I always struggle a lot to fall asleep. It usually takes me around 4 hours to actually drift off. Does anyone else experience this and might got some tips?

I find that if you lift a weight that’s RPE 8, then lift the next weight at RPE 10, go back down to that RPE 8 and it feels like an RPE 6. I’ve never re-tested the weight at RPE 10 to see if that’s shifted down to an 8 or 9.
