This video looks at the Dallas mavericks and how they solves the best defense in the nba the Minnesota Timberwolves by giving the ball to Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic and letting them cook

I mean…. Dallas kind of looks like the REAL best defense in the NBA. The Thunder and Clippers ranked 1st and 2nd in the west in offensive rating this season 😂. You can’t make this up. BOTH teams Dallas played had a higher offensive rating than Denver (who was 3rd) and Dallas held them to under 100 7 times in 12 games. That’s very good, in case you’re wondering.

Not only that... but Luka, who everyone is saying doesn't play defense, is keeping his opponents that he is guarding to the LOWEST FG PERCENTAGE of all the players in playoffs. Mavs defense went up a notch, but Luka went from "no defense" to "defender of the year" right now.

Oddly, PJ and Gaff could have wound up almost anywhere and you might never have heard of them again..... They were the right pieces for the right team at the right time with the right attitude and they blended right into Kidd's scheme seamlessly.... same with Derrick.... All three could have wasted away elsewhere. Instead, once again, it is ALL about chemistry! And we have Master Chemist Jason Kidd and with Nico's help, built a team who mirrors it's coach...... tough, focused, smart, team player, active...... that describes almost our entire team..... (still wary of Marcus.... i want Bobo back!)

It's so much more positive compared to THJ coming in off the bench. Tried to believe in him the whole playoffs but he has a LOT of bone-headed plays soon as he touch the rock!! Lol. Even having him on prop bets is more aggravating. Hardy be bringing that energy & a lob every game so far!

Ive been a Luka fan since he came into the league & for some reason watching Mavs defense made me realize how ceazy what he does is. Ive watched Shai & Ant struggle to get into the paint. Luka will just take a screen and dribble into the paint & be completely comfortable being defended with a few guys around him. Part of what makes Luka different is that he will just do it. Ant hesitates & waits outside the three point line trying to find space to speed to the basket. Luka is fine just slowly dribbling his way to where he wants to be. Kind of wild when you realize how rare that is.
@johndub386623 күн бұрын
And he's never hurried. He just gets the primary defender on his hip, and then makes any of a hundred choices as to what to do next.

Thanks for the video. I expected the series to be low scoring because of how good both are defensively but they both still breached 100 points Game 1. Seems like Luka and Kyrie are destroying their perimeter defenders and their drop coverage on PnR. Lets see if Wolves will be able to contain Luka and Kyrie in game 2

Yo, Dallas has the best defense after the trade. They did not shoot their best game, and still managed to win against a team that was knocking down 3’s better than them. It just doesn’t bode well for the Timberwolves that the Mavs just won a series with Kyrie not scoring in a dominant fashion. Mavs are too deep and about 7 of they guys can mess around and get 30. They have been hated and underestimated right up until that game 1 win in the WCF. P.S., F Russel Weptbricks!!!!! PJ Washington gettin a ring before you, weak ahh boy.

@Kcirtyalk23 күн бұрын
Yeah score wise it was close. But just watching the game, you can tell Minnesota was barely hanging on by hitting three after three. Its not sustainable and they were fortunate Mavs couldnt make their wide open 3s
@rickharrison173723 күн бұрын
Mavs defense is more dangerous that their offense. I don’t think that Ant is good enough of a playmaker to take advantage of the bodies being thrown at him when he attacks the basket. He also isn’t good enough of a shooter to capitalize on the drop coverage that the Mavs threw at him.
