They laughed through most of it saying it was a lot of calculated in accurate bullshit. Remember Tommy and nikki used to speedball, drink and claim to have even shot whiskey into their arms, this is their claim, all at the same time as claiming a crystal clear recall of the history of that time frame......it's bullshit, very entertaining narcissisticly driven bullshit!

The main focus of the film was their wild days in the 80's, based on the book. Since the book was published in 2001, and ends its narrative around 1998, of course there's almost 20 years of more current events they're leaving out.

Aside from the timeline being out of whack, another thing the Dirt fails to mention is Vince Neil's solo career. When John Corabi takes his place, Vince is shown as a depressed, down on his luck, unemployed bum drinking his misery away at some bar. In reality, Vince had already put together a new band and had a solo album out before Motley Crue put their album out. Granted, this is a story about Motley Crue, and securing the rights to music from another record company probably played a part in leaving some of that out. But it certainly depicts Vince differently compared to the rest of the band.

Was I supposed to feel sorry for Vince Neil when his daughter was dying? Seems to me like he did everything in his power to implode his family and alienate his daughter. It’s a terrible tragedy that she died, and I’m sure the people who really cared for her were devastated. My heart goes out to them. But I’m supposed to feel sorry for Vince Neil? Meh... So I revitalized my discontinued Netflix account and watched it. My God. Yes. They left some shit out. It is even mentioned when they leave out a key person. But to be honest, the actors fucking sell this! The story is good, if shortened. Iwan Rheon as Mick is fantastic! Douglas Booth as Nikki was outstanding! These guys nailed their performances and I have already watched it twice. Definitely read the book if you’re interested in their history, but the movie was excellent and well casted. I do recall hearing Crue screwing over an all black heavy metal named Sound Barrier. Barrier opened for Crue a few times (around "Shout at the devil") and began getting a following of their own. John Corabi didn’t get phased out as soon as they brought Vince back, when Vince came back he spent some time on rhythm guitar before they parted ways
@comancheviperrrr5 жыл бұрын
Actually Mötley Crüe wanted to keep John Corabi around even then. However stories and reports of the time say that the crew did not want them to Neil back. They brought him back at the behest of their management and record company. And it was also because the album itself known as Motley Crue was considered one of the low points in their career. However the good thing for that album is that looking back on it and listening to it now you can see that it really was probably one of the best albums. John Adams so much depth and dimension to the band. I have been a fan of motley Crue since I first heard smoking in the boys room. So I was one of the people who did not give the Motley Crue album with John on at a fair chance. If he has stuck around and they kept in Motley Crue would have gone in a whole new directions and probably would be even bigger now than I have ever been. What they did was bring Vince Neil back go back to their old music. The tired sounded they went through over and over. The new tattoo album was horrible. At that point I think if I was Molly Crue I would’ve brought John back and definitely have shown Vince the door.I still like the original lineup of members. However I do think that John got a raw deal because he was such a wonderful addition to the band.

The "most glaring omission" is definitely NOT Pamela Anderson. Yall need to see where the story ends. I think the biggest omission was the "SEXUAL" craziness that went on. They barely touch on it when they show the apartment the band shared (killing cockroaches with hairspray).... they give a TINY hint at it when it shows (something) flying out of the womens hoohoo (sorry cant think of a more media friendly term 😂🤦🏼♀️). It was supposed to be alcohol I believe. But that was the tip of the Berg. Thede boys were NASTY! (Vince more privately and Mick was not part of it) but the things Tommy and Nikki did to and with women together.... DISGUSTING! (yeah nikki also mentions the woman he was having sex with in the closet and switches out with tommy supposedly without telling her) but it was so much more than that. Groupies, totally wasted on Motley tour buses for days, then getting dropped wherever the band felt like was common....and again RAUNCHY boys. They really dont get into that in the movie. Oh and making Tommy out to be "all peace and love"? Bahaha 😂😂 I call bullshit
@sevinstorey43654 жыл бұрын
What was flying out of the woman’s woo hoo is called squirting. If a man has some strong hands and longer fingers he can actually reach inside of a woman with his two middle fingers and make the motion of the come here sign and if he knows what he’s doing well in just a few minutes she will squirt out a volume of amount of liquid that I’m not quite sure if anybody really knows what it is. It’s not piss, it’s more closely related to orgasm fluid. No taste, or smell that I’ve ever noticed. Google “women squirting”, it’s all there.

@@sevinstorey4365 🤣🤣🤣🤣 you clearly do not know the "real" stories of Motley. They're is NO east the amount she was spraying ease her own natural juices. And just FYI... you're few solution I'd pretty funny. Many woman can do that just fine without a mans fingers or help. Is pretty common. Woman can "let it loose" like s man when she had an orgasm. Definitely not all women (in fact I think it's like 70% of women can't orgasm during the act itself... they need oral or themselves), which I'd pretty sad if you ask me. Thanks for the quite inaccurate anatomy lesson... but again... it was alcohol in this instance. Woman DO squirt the same as men. Just not all women and not ad.much as men. 🤣🤣🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ I'm sorry. @@jojox9791 If you read the book, you'd know that the woman is a reference to Bullwinkle, a woman tommy dated at the beginning of their success on the strip. The Dirt ignored Doc having Matthew Trippe take over for Nikki Sixx on a part of the Theater of Pain tour when Nikki was in the hospital drying out from drug use. Matthew also helped write most of the Girls Girls Girls record, designed the Drum Roll over that Tommy used in Wild Side and the biker look over the Glam Metal look of Theater of Pain. Doc McGhee tried to pull that crap again with KISS on their 1996 reunion tour when peter was unable to play a concert due to his arms locking up. Doc thought that they would just put Peter's drum tech in the makeup and no one would be the wiser but Paul, Gene, Ace and Peter wanted to be honest and the fans wished Peter well and the show went on as they say.

There is a ton missing, because really, the central theme of the movie is the fame, drugs, and Sixx’s story of figuring out how to manage it all and figure out the band is his family. Motley Crue is nothing without vince neil. But had motley crue continued with John Corabi and called themselves a different name similar to how Creed became Alter Bridge they could have killed it. That one crue record with corabi on it had better riffs and hooks that anything to come from the band since.

I dated briefly and partied with Tommy's FIRST wife in the 90's and still talk to her occasionally. She's told me about 90% of what is in this movie isn't even true, or has been greatly exaggerated.

Oh gross Pamela dated Vince too? Ugh. Lol.. Tommy trying to sing. He was hardly needed in motley crue. No wonder his solo career sucked.

This guy didn't read the book and it shows.....

Compared to the book, the movie blows...Mick was literally ignored, i know hes still the most tame member, but he had struggles too, they could have put more of HIS story in the movie...if you havent read the book, i would...the movie didnt do the book justice...

People are saying that if everything was in the book was in the movie it would have been 6 hours long or needing to be split up into parts. Who cares??? It would've been a movie lifelong Crue fans would have deserved to see after waiting almost TWENTY YEARS! I'm glad it was on Netflix since it wouldn't be a waste of money. I'd rather waste my money on another Crue show. At least i get to see the band.

In my opinion Corabi is a much better singer then Neil ! I think the 94 Corabi album trumps Motley's earlier albums. The sound and style was good!
