Marvel is more than capable of making a comeback. The big question is whether people WANT it to come back. You get the sense there's a mix of burnout and resentment at the MCU continuing to exist whether fans like it or not. Not to mention even fans don’t know what kind of stories would make the franchise work again (Deadpool 3, however good or bad, will be its own anomaly).
@kingkatsudark24739 ай бұрын
i think i read somewhere that Bob Iger himself admited that Disney had overdone it in terms of Marvel content ever since he stepped down as CEO and thats why people aren't that hyped about the MCU anymore. in his opinion it should go back to the way it was when the MCU started (only one or two movies per year instead of four movies and two tie-in TV shows being released back to back every year).
@BussinandDiscussin9 ай бұрын
Also I just thought of something interesting: what we have is a really weird storytelling going on, if you think about it half or more of what Marvel puts out... had nothing to even do with Multiverse. Its like we have several things going on: The Thunderbolts - Black Widow, Falcon & The Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Secret Invasion kinda The Cosmicverse - Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Marvels The Multiverse Saga The problem isn't even that multiverse is confusing and hard to grasp but there are lowkey several storylines happening that most movie fans don't quite even realize is going on because there hasn't been a Thunderbolts trailer yet.

I partially agree with the point of making every movie a must see. I think the MCU is so big they need to break it into 5 different branches....street, horror, mature, global, and cosmic (and maybe animation or external crossover i.e. Sony). Everything doesn't need to tie in but the main work will be to ensure that NOTHING conflicts. Tie ins in the level of AoS or Defenders is sufficient at this level besides a team up or crossover every few years.

The multiverse saga was not enough foundation to make it intelligent enough to go for years and years. It unravels with one phrase: if you die in this universe, your other universe copies of yourself live on. Bye bye stakes. They should have set a limit, either this story is a fun 18 month storyline that begins and ends with Loki, includes various other "What If" type projects and is just a lighthearted breather in between Endgame and Dr. Doom Saga OR they use Kang and give him a special "Ray Gun" that can erase ALL copies of a character in ALL TIMELINES. This would be literally what the TVA is seeing with the "thread unraveling" - it is explained that timelines are crumbling in chaos because one entire character was erase from all timelines, lets say Ant Man. Now stakes are on like Donkey Kong. The ending of Quantumania is The End of Scott Lang. Ant Man gets hit by Kangs Death Gun and we see you can erase a character from all timelines. Its not a Ray Gun "point and shoot" of course you need to put someone in a stasis for a while to erase them giving The Avengers time to rescue future characters. People want to see big stakes or have fun, they chose a very lukewarm in between confused way of telling the story imho.

MCU seems to throw heroes into their films which arent that well known. This wouldnt be a problem in itself but they also seem to be in a hurry to introduce as many other heroes as they can in the movies that they produce. For example Eternals was a clear example of a movie where they just threw a bunch of new heroes into the mix while giving barely anytime for any of them to be fleshed out in a way that they should have been. Also cant believe how badly they messed up the multiverse by making seemingly movies that felt for the most part disconnected from each other or from the new main baddie aka Kang. Then when they finally gave Kang his time on the big screen he was defeated by just one single hero. Basically deflating the threat that Kang presented to the whole Marvel universe.

Leaving one part for a Serious, Dominant male role. Given to a little pip squeak. I see now that the character is suppose to be 16, and so bc he looks so immature and fragile for real life at age 28, he works for some…. Put Brolin in that part to make it believable… rant over lol.
