So simple father thanks this Receiving Grace of Love through the 7 Sacraments of the Church is understandable by the common children and older men like me im 57 years old now born and raised as a Roman Catholic always observed all the Sacraments of the Catholic faith but on the three steps most of the Catholics almost always forget the this second step which is of very important that before receiving the Grace of Love of God the final third step is there should be no impediment on the recipient and there’s a need for him contrition and repentance inside his heart without it there is no Grace of God that will come to him on the third step as with the Sacrament of Holy Communion if he takes it, he will be taking the ordinary unleavened bread and ordinary cheap wine and there will be no transubstantation going on in the eucharist.K More of this simple enlightening videos Dominican fathers O.P Order of Preachers your spiritual and special calling Godspeed and Godbless k!

If someone is confirmed in a state of mortal sin, is a full confession sufficient or do they need to be confirmed again?

For a baptized Catholic, two conditions must be met to be absolved of the spiritual stain of sin - sincere contrition and confession. Performing the penance imposed by the priest forgives the temporal cost of sin.

what about baptism, if a person is baptized catholic in a state of heresy, does his Grace disappear or is it delayed until he repents?

"As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine, 4 nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship[a] from God that is by faith. 5 The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6 Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion, 7 desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions." -1 Timothy 1:3-7 -We can not assume that we are following the traditions of MEN that Christ taught and dicipled, this is why our ONLY and BEST Foundation is the Words of Jesus, and help from The Holy Spirit. Salvation is NOT earned. It's nowhere in Scriptures.... Read Ephesians 2:8-9

You ever ask yourself if God truly, really, intended to make his salvation this complicated? How would anyone with down syndrome ever grasp this? An alcoholic who has destroyed his mind? It just sounds like steps created by guilt-ridden intellectual men trying to justify themselves to each other. Christ justifies us with his completed work and we partake in it fully through faith and we live our lives honoring him if the faith is true. That's a gift in and of itself, to live life without existential fear, knowing we're already saved in the end by the grace of his completed work for us.

Take a step back for a moment. The "participation in the divine nature" (2 Peter 1:4), in other words grace - which we need to receive to be saved is something that is not dependent upon our knowing what is explained in this video. For example, people who have not attained to the use of reason yet, such as infants, are able to receive the Sacrament of Baptism. What obstacle, therefore, would get in the way of someone with "down syndrome" or an "alcoholic who has destroyed his mind"? In that sense, Christians are not saying that God "truly, really, intended to make His salvation this complicated." However, God has revealed mysteries to us - indeed mysteries which attain to the very inner life of God, such as the Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity. Now, because faith seeks understanding, and because we must "always be prepared to make a defense to any one who calls you to account for the hope that is in you" (1 Peter 3:15), Christians have sought to understand, under the light of the Holy Spirit, and especially His gifts of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, as much as they can about what God has revealed, especially in Christ. Now, if you were asked by someone, "How is God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - and yet only One God?" the answer will not necessarily be something, to use your examples, that people with "down syndrome" or "destroyed minds" will be able to get a hold of. And yet "this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent." Accordingly, just because something is at so rich and beautiful, and yet at the same time, so deep and ineffable such that we can never exhaust the mystery of the Most Holy Trinity - it does not follow that God cannot be the Most Holy Trinity, and it does not follow that we do not have to believe that God is the Most Holy Trinity for our salvation. We do. Regarding existential fear, Christianity is not predicated upon existential fear. However, it does not follow that therefore, once we have received saving grace, we must automatically be predestined to Heaven. It is possible for someone who is reprobate, that is to say, someone who will end up in Hell, to have received saving grace at some point during their life. Whilst there are many places in Scripture which teach this - a clear example I think, is the Lord's parable in Matthew 18 about the Unforgiving Servant. In Matthew 18:21-35 - Jesus tells the story of a servant, who had a lord who "released him and forgave him the debt (v. 27)" (a debt he could not pay because it was too much) and indeed that forgiveness was reaffirmed "I forgave you all that debt because you besought me; and should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?" (v. 32-33) and yet in the end, because the servant did not show mercy as he had been shown mercy, his lord "delivered him to the torturers, till he should pay all his debt. So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.” (v. 34-35). As we pray in the Our Father, "forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us"... this parable teaches us that if we do not show mercy - which is something we must do as God has shown us mercy, then we will not be saved. And the parable clearly demonstrates that this can happen to someone who had the debt of their sin forgiven by God, i.e. they received saving grace at some point during their life, and then lost it through what Saint John calls "mortal sin" (1 John 5:17). Hope this helps answer your questions!

My youngest son has Down Syndrome. He can easily grasp that God loves him and gives himself to us in the Eucharist, that Baptism makes us members of his family, and that we go to Confession to say we are sorry to God for bad things we have done. Don't be so insulting to people with special needs.

Why did Jesus Christ institute the sacraments if he didn't want them administered or entered into?

Don't believe this lie, Jesus is enough and we should NOT be adding things to Him for Salvation, Salvation is not gained or earned, It's only by His Grace. You must Repent and call out to ONLY Jesus for Salvation. No one comes to The Father, except through Him (as the Scriptures tell us). Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

But the Sacraments ARE Christ. Christ is often referred to as "The Primordial Sacrament", a sign that gives us salvation. Baptism is an inheritance of Christ's roles of Priest, Prophet, and King, through the oil anointing (a sign of the gift of kingship), the water, allowing us to cross into the promised land of the Church, Christ's bride, (therefore bringing you into Jesus). Therefore, Jesus gives us Grace through Himself, in His power to forgive our sins, (through another Sacrament, being Confession/Reconciliation), but also through the Sacraments. We know the God is Love, (John 1) and Jesus through the nature of the Trinity is love, and to receive grace or to give grace, which is from God, all grace is an act of love. If Sacraments, which are given to us by God (defined as efficacious, or self-carrying-out signs [ie. they point to the thing they do] of grace), are of grace, as they are defined as; Christ saves you through the Sacraments, and therefore are necessary for salvation. As you say, grace saves through faith, but that faith requires faith in the Sacraments, because they are a part of the Incarnate Christ. We can then go on to say that, yes, we are provided salvation by Jesus with grace, but Sacraments are the means, the ways, by which we can partake in Christ, to both become Christlike, and to enveloped in His love. Hope this helps!
